Life Dont Come Easy

My name is Aaron Reive, I grew up in the middle Tennessee area mainly Smyrna and Murfreesboro. I would consider myself very fortunate because I got to see a lot of good music to meet a lot of great artist. All before I was even 21. The fake ID definitely helped. I was a supply type guy in the trade that I won’t mention because we already know. My last name in that area should ring some bells. At the same time I was also what I would consider smarter than most. 

I’m a twin and the youngest of the family of four. I’ve done everything. You can imagine all before the age of 21. And I’m glad that I got to do that because I needed it in my timeline at that point. But it also made me who I am today so it doesn’t matter at all I’m proud of me. Unfortunately the pill game and mid tenn was enough for me and I was tired of seeing my friends die or screw up their lives for something I supplied. I didn’t graduate high school. I got kicked out and I was already 18 at the point so I decided to take the test. Unannounced me I didn’t study at all and I scored one of the highest scores ever to come out of Middle Tennessee’s career tech center.  I went to Motlow Community College for a little while. After the first semester, my mom ended up with fourth stage lung cancer.

The summer, in between 19 and 20 years old I moved to Michigan and got myself clean. Off Roxies, those blue 30 pills.  If you lived there, you know what I mean. I used to be the one going down to Florida just for a quick buck even in middle Tennessee there was a Dr Brown. Again I was supply guy, but it eventually caught up 

That summer was tough, but man northern Michigan was like the Kid Rock song. There’s nothing better! As a kid we would come up here for at least two weeks every year camping boating, just living the life. That summer I decided I would eventually move there. 

My twin brother was in and out of 940 Jail our whole life but when he was 19, he was there for good! He’s been in and out of Tennessee prisons for the last 13 years. Most people that stay in Murfreesboro went there I know I sure did! 

I quit school move back in with mom, especially when the cancer started. I was able to help my mom throughout those last days of her life. And all through being sober, which meant a lot to me because I took a lot of our conversations to heart, and it made me who I am today. You will not meet another man that will calm himself a mama‘s boy beside me. Trust me I know we all feel that way. I love it because this boy right here was just like my mom threw it through. My fraternal twin was just like my dad exactly opposites.

My mom and I got to flip a lot of houses growing up when she was going through those hard times I finally 
Did one on my own. That really helped us out because two months before my mom died. She finally got Social Security being a 54-year-old and paying in large sons because she was a successful lady. She found multiple businesses and made 140 K downtown Nashville back in early 90s. I wish we got paid like that now.

In December 2012. On the 22nd, my mom passed away. I gotta tell you it still hurts my soul. At the same time, my mom is living vicariously through me and I feel her every day. She was called crazy, crazy granny Grammy , but she was also the leader of the family. Even all the ones in Northern Michigan would come to her for help or even just to talk. That’s the thing I’m miss most being able to talk to my mom because I gotta tell you even if I was in a deep situation With a lot of doubt she always had the right words to make you feel like you were on top and you could get out of this situation.

I’ve moved up to northern Michigan on December 27 that year. At the time I was mad at God. I met my wife or my current wife future ex-wife. I’ve been married for 11 years. I have two kids, but I couldn’t tell you how much that come up and downfall means but it means exactly what it means and we need it in our timeline and I’ll explain in my songs.
