One of Yoshitoshi’s most iconic techno signings, Chiapet brought two hugely memorable singles to the label in its early days. The first, Tick Tock, saw its makeover last year with three amazing mixes from Perc, Loco & Jam, and Robosonic. Now we hand over the second, Westworld, a staple that has been played by everyone from Seth Troxler to Deadmau5, to two big players who knew exactly how to handle it: techno guru Paul Ritch and bass house up-and-comer Will Clarke.

The original Medieval Funk mix from 1999 sounds as good today as it did then, thanks to a fresh master from the ears at RB Mastering.

The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. The EP encapsulates Sangiuliano’s wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the fat bass line of ‘Moon Rocks’ to the more delicate harmonies shown within the ‘Dutch Kiss’ mixes whilst ‘Ghettoblaster’ sits somewhere in between.

13th September sees the prolific British house and techno DJ/producer Mark Broom and Snatch! Records’ esteemed label boss Riva Starr combine to deliver their first collaborative single under the guise of Star B entitled ‘Gotta Have You’.

This essential maiden collaboration follows previous Snatch! releases from the likes of Steve Bug, Parris Mitchell, Nina Kraviz, Arthur Baker, Green Velvet, Groove Armada and CamelPhat plus Broom’s very own ‘The Way’ EP earlier this year.

Both Starr and Broom are prolific producers and have been igniting dancefloors all over the world for many years with their unique club-ready productions, but now the time has come for both artists to merge their unparalleled studio prowess and experience to create ‘Gotta have You’ - their outstanding debut record.

‘Gotta Have You’ announces Star B in style, serving up a stomping peak time disco house workout which utilises a stimulating funk/soul sample set to an infectious groove which oozes summer vibes right from its core. The 27th of March will see one of this year’s most sought-after releases, as Paradise founder and Hot Creations head Jamie Jones teams up with long-term friend and Paradise resident Alan Fitzpatrick on Fairytale Frequency. The stunning two-tracker is the debut collaboration from two of electronic music’s most in-demand talents and, as expected, the end result is an outstanding offering that showcases both artists at their best.

The lead track Fairytale Frequency instantly showcases the bespoke sounds of both artists. From the get-go we witness the tell-tale signature of Jamie in the tribal drum patterns and whispering female vocal hooks, whilst Alan’s trademark club sound comes through in the pulsing, acid-twinged lead synth. Sundancing rounds things off. Soulful and soothing, the track is reminiscent of Hot Creation’s early days with it’s warming bassline and deep, emotive vocals, as gentle hats converge on light kicks to form a Baleric-inspired closing cut that tugs deeply on the heartstrings.

As a world-renowned DJ and producer, head of Hot Creations and founder of the global Paradise event series, Jamie Jones has etched out a legacy on electronic music that few can attest to. His personally curated Paradise series offers an international showcase of house and techno’s most recognisable artists. A long term Paradise resident, Alan Fitzpatrick has risen to the upper echelons of electronic music with a constant stream of outstanding releases on the likes of Drumcode and his very own We Are The Brave label.
