A stalwart, and in the true sense of the word (as well as being one of the nicest people you could hope to meet on a night out), Al Bradley has been obsessed with House Music from the moment he stepped through the doors of the seminal Hacienda night club in Manchester in the summer of 1989.  It’s an obsession that’s lead him down a long and winding road, including 18 years and counting as a label boss, allowed him to feature on nearly 100 releases as well as celebrated residencies for powerhouses like Fabric London, Bugged Out Manchester and Pioneer DJ Radio.  Being the kind of guy Al Bradley is though, he’s still also made time to kick it with the younger cats at spots like Stereosleaze (London) and Lip Service and Deadbeat Disco in his adopted hometown of Leeds.

We’re genuinely over the moon to bring you this EP, and as such, we’ve complimented the originals with what we feel are some pretty dandy remixes, spread across both the Vinyl and Digital releases, coming from the likes of self-proclaimed “product of a mis-spent mancunion youth”  Danny “Moodymanc” Ward, the vinyl enthusiast’s favourite Tommy “Vicari Jnr” and the ever evolving genius of Colour Series Label Boss “Jem Haynes”

From his early beginnings releasing on UK labels like Immigrant, Viva Music & 2020 Vision, it was clear that Simon Baker had something of the special about him.  It was almost inevitable really that someone with his level of talent and unwavering consistency would have the kind of meteoric rise that now has enjoyed, taking him to a place where he is now universally regarded as one of the hottest producers to come out of the UK in the last 20 years with a discography that reads like the "who's who" of Electronic Music where names like Get Physical, Pokerflat, Cocoon, Rekids and 8 Bit are just the tip of the iceberg.

Here we have 3 additional Digi Only remixes to feature as part of the full worldwide online stores / streaming release on Friday 26th November.  These additional 3 kick off kinda where the vinyl release ends, with a dub version of label bossman Iain Taylor’s haunting “I’m Horney” remix, dropping the horns, striping it back and beefing up the rhythm section and renaming it the “Not Tonight Dub” (I’m not horny anymore, I’m too busy dancing).

To see the full digital release out, we’ve reverted back to something we like to do wherever possible, we’ve drafted in an up and coming crew, this time from the land of cheese & chocolate with Swiss crew Kritikel Audio Techniques (KAT), obviously there’s not even a slight whiff of cheese here, just pure musical chocolate from the 3 young producers who hail from Zurich.  It’s a set of tracks that came about after Iain had the pleasure of hanging with the guys in their secluded studio complex on one of his jaunts to bring a bit of musical heat to the frosty climate that makes the country not only a great place to ski but also gives even more excuse to stay inside a hot sweaty venue, listening to repetitive electronic music, giving the city a scene rich in the sounds of Deep and dreamy House & Techno, leading to the term “The Zurich Sound” commonly being used around the rest of Switzerland.  

The KAT crew sit at the cutting edge of the city’s new wave of artists who’ve grown up surrounded by the sound of their home town but who also draw on inspirations from further afield and have cooked up 2 bang on the money mixes that skirt the line of Micro House and (Ro)Minimal Techno.

These digital tracks will come out as part of the full digital / streaming release on Friday 26th November.

Our first release for 2022 brings 7 perfect jams to welcome the warm spring months, courtesy of New York’s Dark & Stormy (Hotfingers / Top Billing) complimented by world class remixers Joeski (Pokerflat / Crosstown Rebels), Riki Incoente (Robsoul / Great Lakes Audio) & introducing Columbia’s Siwark & Hassio (Nervous Records / Monique Music / Antura).

Dark & Stormy blends futurism, minimalism, and a return to mid-'90s sensibilities with a contemporary finish good for earbuds and nightclubs alike.  Born John Morabito, his first foray into music came in the form of playing guitar in bands for over a decade.  In the summer of 2009, he turned his hand to electronic music, quickly garnering a sizeable army of enthusiastic fans.
