Born Richard Udubrah, nicknamed “Reji” has always had a love for music growing up, especially Hip Hop. Having been inspired by American legends like Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Kanye and Drake, Reji later developed a love for writing lyrics and memorable punchlines; doing cover songs of his favorite artists. After receiving rave reviews, Reji went on to create a style for himself with the intent of becoming a full fledged recording artist. He then traveled to Lagos, Nigeria to storm the big scene! Even with the industry being highly saturated by Afro pop artists, Reji was able to cultivate and grow his music career with little outside support. He created a unique style for himself with a fusion of Afro/Dancehall sounds with an underlying Hip Hop base, Synths and hi-hats. Reji has undoubtedly become a force to reckon with and the future of urban Afro Dancehall Trap music for the country of Nigeria and the African continent as a whole.
