Common Voice (Go Easy)

Persia: imperative and pertinent precursor to modern society.  We often buy into modern propaganda about 'bad' things in faraway lands - but it's tragic that such a diverse, expansive, and influential part of humanity's past is so grossly ignored.  Did you know that Iran (Persia) is one of the oldest continuous cultures on Earth?  Did you know that Persian Zoroastrianism predates and influenced monotheistic religions that came after it, like Judaism, Gnosticism, Christianity and Islam?

Gitano En Shahnameh

Humans were called 'ugly bags of mostly water' in a Next Generation episode called 'Home Soil' and that aptly describes what unifies us as a species.  Without water, we all die.  Regardless of skin color, flag or theology and in spite of borders, barriers and bigotry.  Water unites us.   I use this metaphor to represent my belief that our species can choose to see beyond that which divides us.  A bonus is at the end when I put forth my best Jean-Luc Picard impersonation…Happy Saturday to all my global brother and sister water bags!

Android Pageant

How about a short, twisted instrumental to help you imagine a festive parade of robots and androids in all shapes, sizes and colors.  When assembling and mixing this song, I could see steam punk-esque floats, garnished with springs, nuts, bolts and gears.  Silver, gold and copper balloons hovering above the shimmering display of mechanical meanderings…squeaks, clanks, grinds, thumps... Android Pageant (Instrumental)

Every voice matters - out of many colors, one voice...  When inspiration brought this to me during an impromptu looper recording, the phonetics 'Suus a vaala, suus ala' just came out of me.  I then attempted to find out what that phrase meant so I might write the lyrics around the spontaneous maunder.  Although I am usually able to 'interpret' these utterances, I could not accurately decipher this one.  From what Google translate tells me, it could be Estonian for 'a single mouth' or Finnish, or Latin…  I went with the Estonian to finish the lyrics but I am hoping a true linguist will translate it accurately for me one day…here's A Single Word, from my new CD, IDIO.

Ever get the feeling you're being watched by the universe? stalked by destiny? followed by shadows of what others have said or done to you? Maybe feeling this way is more common than we think.  I mean, aren't we all a little suspicious of (or at least intrigued by) the 'forces' we cannot perceive with our 'normal' senses, but that we are told are all around us at all times? Too Long Gone

My mom inspires me musically, spiritually and because she loves all of nature - and nature loves her.  I was born and raised in a place where every season has its own personality, and if you listen carefully, you can hear those seasons singing.  I can hear the animals, the plants and all of nature calling us to take special care to preserve, protect and cohabitate.  I dedicate this song to my mom, Jorie Green Thumb, one of Mother's Nature's best friends.

This first remix pass is for extraction of obvious sound or patch change flatulence and indigestions, iow, cut the flubs.  Next pass will be to eliminate redundancies that serve their theme purpose with less repetitions and/or build ups.  Video of this track is at https://youtu.be/vYljIPzpGuo.

I'm currently posting solo original compositions created using sync'd Digitech JamMan XTs, a Looperlative LP1, Vocalist Harmonizers, Strandberg, Godin, Yamaha and Ovation acoustic and midi guitars, Yamaha electronic drums/percussion, and Roland/Boss GR-20 and GT3 multi-fx pedals.  

I perform live and am available for studio and collaborative works, I also offer a limited schedule for collab recording and lessons in guitar-based technology at Loopstudio23.  

I am mainly a vocalist and guitarist, but I also play drums, keyboards, percussion, mandolin and I quickly adapt to most styles and workflows.
