DJ Pierre, Eddie Amador & Kathy Brown Unite for ‘House Music Always’: A Celebration of True House Spirit.

Get Physical Music proudly presents ‘House Music Always’, a powerful collaboration between three legendary names who helped shape the genre: DJ Pierre, Eddie Amador, and Kathy Brown. This release bridges generations of house music with three distinct versions that honour the sound’s roots while keeping it alive for today’s dancefloors.

The EP opens with Eddie Amador’s ‘Spiritual Thang’ remix, a deep and hypnotic rework built around a driving groove and his iconic spoken-word mantra: “Not everyone understands house music..”. Its warm bassline and soulful layers create a transcendent club moment, full of energy and emotion.

Amador’s ‘Body and Soul Thang’ remix takes a rawer approach, built on a distorted bassline and electrifying piano hooks. This version carries a grittier, late-night spirit; a full-body track designed for peak hours and packed floors.

The third version, DJ Pierre feat. Kathy Brown’s ‘Original Old Skool Chicago Mix’, transports listeners straight to the origins of house. It’s a warm, groove-laden journey defined by lush Rhodes chords, steady drums, and Kathy Brown’s soulful, gospel-infused vocals — a reminder of the human spirit and emotion that define real house music.

As one of the genre’s founding figures, DJ Pierre continues to embody the evolution of house and acid, from the early days of Phuture’s “Acid Trax” to his influential work at Strictly Rhythm. His Chicago heritage shines bright in this production.

Eddie Amador, the man behind the classic ‘House Music’, delivers remixes that connect his legacy with a new generation, blending grit, groove, and timeless wisdom.

Kathy Brown, one of dance music’s most iconic voices, adds a layer of heartfelt authenticity, her commanding performance reminding us why her gospel roots and vocal power remain unmatched.

The New York-born, New Jersey-based Avision lands on Radio Slave’s Rekids sublabel REK’D for the first time with the ‘Get Down’ EP, arriving 14th November 2025. The title track emanates pure NYC soul, pairing uplifting vocals with euphoric energy, while ‘Papi’ moves into deeper territory, its stripped-back groove and shadowy stabs giving way to flickers of funky, jazz-tinged warmth.

Emerging from New York’s club culture, Avision broke through with his ‘Excess’ EP on Beardman Records in 2018 and has since released on Ellum Audio, Crosstown Rebels, Cocoon, and Black Book Records, alongside his own MATTER+ label, which he runs with his cousin Victor Calderone.
Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense house music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has since become a home for dancefloor-focused EPs from artists including St. David, Uncertain, James Juke, James Curd, Ketiov, and more.

German House artist Oliver Dollar announces his ‘Contemporary’ LP on Rekids, arriving 21st November 2025. Since 2024, he has released four EPs on Radio Slave’s label, featuring collaborations with over a dozen artists and singer-songwriters, supported by the likes of Dam Swindle, Louie Vega, Honey Dijon, Hunee, Kai Alce, and more.

"Contemporary stands for what I'm playing right now, from deeper tunes to more jacking and booty bangers. I've been working on this album for the last four years and want to thank all of the collaborators and remixers (so far) involved in making this album happen. Since 2011, Industry Standard label boss Oliver Dollar has become a trusted name in House music, he was one of the leading proponents of its Fidget subgenre in Berlin at the height of its popularity, propelling him towards releases on labels such as Snatch!, Classic Music Company, and Defected, alongside a reputation as a formidable collaborator that’s worked with the likes of Crazy P, Mousse T, and Todd Edwards. For the ‘Contemporary’ LP, he doubles down on this spirit of partnership, bringing together a transatlantic cast of friends and peers, linking Berlin and Detroit through a shared House vision.

The album begins with ‘The New Is Here’, where Oliver Dollar teams up with Nils Ohrman for a soulful sermon that sets the tone with warmth and gravity, which was previously reimagined into a club-focused dub for ‘Contemporary Part Four’. From there, the mood shifts into ‘Downtown’ with Phil WZK, a deep, Jazz-inflected groove underpinned by a spoken monologue that feels both intimate and eternal.

Vocalists like APROPOS, Boog Brown, and Billy Love then bring soul and gospel fire, while producers including ADMN, Seven Davis Jr., Harvard Bass, Brillstein, and Austin Ato shape grooves that range from Disco-tinged uplift to deep, dubby hypnotism. Rather than a showcase of features, the album flows as one unified statement, a celebration of community, connection, and the timeless energy of House music.

Founded in 2006, Radio Slave’s Rekids has since launched the Techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its latest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been instrumental in developing emerging artists and remains a trusted home for House and adjacent sounds, recently featuring names such as Hilit Kolet, Tal Fussman, Frankey & Sandrino, Mathias Kaden, Huxley, and many more.

Spectral Sun returns to the label family and opens the release with “90’s”, a high-energy tech house track filled with nostalgic flair, crisp percussion, and that unmistakable SNOE spirit. Chris Irvin from the United States teams up with 5headedcobra for “Tranquilizers”, a bouncy tune built around driving drums, rolling bassline and an energetic build that pulls listeners deep into the groove.

Andreas Henneberg steps in to remix Jan Ve’s “Different”, transforming it into a groove focused highlight with a dreamy vibe and playful synths, tight rhythms, and his signature production precision. Closing the collection, Tagmond delivers “Headroom Collider”, a rhythmic deep and atmospheric track that gently wraps up the release with warmth and introspection.
