Hessler continues to explore his apparent love for sinister synth lines on 'Perception', a classic late-night techno piece with its roots firmly in the German rave scene. Elegantly programmed drums lift the tension and recede into the shadows in another highlight of this versatile and musical EP.

Rodney Dinkles delivers his biggest statement yet, his debut album: “You Just Got Dinkled”. This monumental project represents the culmination of two years of hard work. Ever since he started making dance music, he hasn’t slowed down, nurturing and crafting a sound that is out of this world. This is a very special release, as Dinkles is the co-founder of Qwerk, and this album embodies all the moods, grooves, and silly vibes of the label. You’ll feel the chunky low-end, spicy vocals, and devilish sampling that will leave you grinning on the dance floor. 1. When did you start making music?
I started making music when I took Justin Jay's free music production weekend workshop on thanksgiving weekend of 2021. I had so much fun & wanted to keep learning more so I took his 1 month Bootcamp right after. And that is how this magical Ableton journey began :)

My legal name is Mr. Roderick Qwerk Dinkles.

3. If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?
Jake the Dog

4. What’s your favorite sound?
The snorts of a French bulldog. Every breath that creature takes.

With the original release marking Rekids return from hiatus, Radio Slave's The Clone Wars is now revisited with a trio of new interpretations from three distinctive talents on house & techno.

On the A side, Markus Suckut moulds the original into the kind of no-nonsense rolling techno jam that has personified his releases for Mosaic and Figure. The B side enlists two US talents in the shape of Parris Mitchell and DJ Spider, with the former bringing a glitchy take on the jacking Chicago house that Mitchell perfected in his timeless productions for Dance Mania, and the latter shaping the track into crunchy weirdo techno that sits perfectly alongside his output for The Trilogy Tapes and his own NY-based Plan B Recordings.

'Dry Me (Acid Mix)' showcases Laux at his pulsating best. A throbbing acid line and booming kick emerge from the very first beat, serving as a strong base from which the track swells upwards with Laux's signature immersive textures.

From Another Mind, the techno party and label from southern Germany, is putting out a pair of remix EPs in February. 

Version 004.1 and Version 004.2 are made of reworks of material that From Another Mind bosses SHDW and Obscure Shape have released across three EPs since launching the label in 2015. The lineup of remixers includes some of the biggest names in the business. Rødhåd leads off the first set, which also features James Ruskin, Dax J and Shlømo. Meanwhile, the second EP opens with a joint rework from Tale Of Us and Mind Against, with Inland, Ryan James Ford and Konstantin Sibold contributing as well. 

Both EPs will come on vinyl and digital formats, with separate cover artwork that's designed to sit next to each other.

Farrago created a name for himself in this short time taking back the real roots of techno and rave and putting them in a new context... we said new, not different. This is his 3rd record on the label, and this time he goes beyond the idea of reminiscing the past, “Hard Light” shows how the rave can be alive in everyone of us, and absolutely not changing the formula he gives us this beautiful feeling of being back in the past, while you dig in a record shop and you find something that hits you, in our past was that record that gave us memories. In this case the work of this record is almost double, the record itself reminisces the past, but gives good hope for the future of genuine rave music without compromises. Released on Slater’s iconic ‘Freek Funk’ album on NovaMute - one of the most seminal techno albums of the 90s - ‘Love’ finally gets the remix treatment it deserves more than two decades after its initial release.

Marcel Dettmann provides two takes on Love, his ‘City’ remix features a cacophony of metallic rhythm, ebbing pads and plenty of swing whilst mantra-like vocals operate throughout, followed by the thudding ‘Black Glove’ remix with its murky tones and rattling effects.

Premiere: William Arist - Mente Focalizada [Liberta Records]

Mote-Evolver welcomes back Psyk (aka Manuel Anós) after his strong label debut release, Distane. For his second Mote-Evolver release, Psyk delivers yet another standout effort with four tool-oriented tracks of clean, tight, yet powerful minimalistic approach.

The title track “Arcade” that opens the EP contrasts high-energy thumping drumbeat with a hypnotic layer of syncopated rhythm. Its movement and development is subtle and organic, yet at the same time skillfully elevating the energy with joining clapping beat and hi-hats.  Following “Surface” will stay in your mind with its obsessive singularity of monotone balanced with the groove of muted heavy beat.  It’s a moody number that grabs the listeners‘ attention with certain tenacity that stays throughout the track.   

One might find B-side of Arcade EP slightly funkier; “Intern” is meshed with lighter elements like beeping sounds and clapping, providing the refreshing vibe to the EP.  However the carefully crafted dynamic and the simple, pure, and fun personality of “Intern” assures that it’s no less powerful tool for the dancefloor.  The last track “Somewhere” is perhaps the grooviest track of Arcade EP, thanks to the deep dark dubby bass that’s setting the tone properly from the very beginning.  Psyk combines and tames energy into a relaxed atmosphere for “Somewhere”, giving a breathing room for emotion that draws you deeply into the euphoric moment.  

With Arcade EP, Psyk is clearly not shying away from showcasing his skills of honing the diverse mood and texture of techno that are highly functional.

Techno pioneer Robert Hood debuts on Rekids with a blistering release entitled ‘Nothing Stops Detroit’ ahead of an album this winter.

Over the last three decades the Underground Resistance alum has continually been at the forefront of the techno genre whilst releasing on many of electronic music’s finest labels to boot. In recent years his solo outings have appeared on a select few labels such as Dekmantel, Music Man Records, not to mention his very own M-Plant. Having made appearances on Rekids in the past remixing label boss Radio Slave - both as Robert Hood (‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’) and Floorplan (‘Feel The Same’) - the Detroit originator now drops a four track release in his official debut on the label.

With its machine aesthetic, ‘Nothing Stops Detroit’ is unmistakably Hood from start to finish. Precision kick drums propel the title track forward as stuttering effects and deep stabs work alongside a march band rhythm. ‘7 Mile Dog’ is next with its grainy synths and scintillating pads, making way for the meandering bassline, rattling atmospherics and trippy, oscillating top line of ‘Ignite A War’. Finally, ‘The Cure’ is a cacophony of twisted percussion and rumbling low-end that energetically concludes matters.
