The X Vinyl Series continues with label head Florian Meindl at the helm with the upcoming release Metaphysics. Synonymous with deep, dark techno, Florian does not disappoint with this 4 track EP, enlisting in demand producer and Rabe label boss Denise Rabe on remixing duties. Playing live with his Modular Synth set up, Florian began working on the concept for what would become these three original tracks while playing shows over the last month. The live jam character can clearly be felt in the first two tracks Metaphysics and Holomorphic Function. Florians original Bell's Theorem has a deep melodic structure. With Denise Rabes interpretation, the track is contorted through some serious distortion pedals and broken beat to match her dark take on the synth line. The outcome is an impressive piece for one of those never ending nights in concrete walled rooms with oversized loudspeakers.

We Are The Brave boss Alan Fitzpatrick joins Rekids with ‘Step Away’, a euphorically chargedtechno release featuring two remixes from Planetary Assault Systems.

Having performed across the world at the likes of Watergate, fabric, Shelter and DC-10, renowned UKartist Alan Fitzpatrick has continued to bring driving techno to the forefront of electronic music culture since the early 2000s. With a ream of releases on Figure, Unknown To The Unknown, Drumcode, Hotflush and many more, he now launches into 2020 with his debut on Radio Slave’s revered imprint.

Fitzpatrick’s signature, thundering techno cut ‘Step Away’ opens with spacey toms, industrial kicks, delayed claps, pulsing bass and atmospherically sustained keys.

The hailed Mote-Evolver boss and esteemed remixer Luke Slater serves up two propulsive edits under his Planetary Assault Systems alias with the first remix being otherworldly with reverbed stabs, subtle arpeggiated synths, minimalistic drums whilst the second remix goes into overdrive with analogue beat programming, computerised melodies and a harrowing sub-frequency rhythm.

In May 2018, Belgium's Amelie Lens launched LENSKE, the fruit of working on new music and collaborating with her peers. The aim was to create a platform to release her own and friend's music that they use to tear apart dance floors around the globe. Less than two years after, LENSKE is putting out their 10th release and it's evolved into something more than just a label, but a family.

During this relatively short time, the prolific crew formed by Amelie Lens, Farrago, Milo Spykers, AIROD and Ahl Iver have released a collection of contemporary anthems, storming techno cuts and acid weapons. The imprint's catalogue illustrates their exploration for a shade of techno particularly focused on the hi-NRG factor. You can usually catch them at the Exhale showcases worldwide - at the likes of fabric London, Off Sonar in Barcelona and Dour in Belgium- testing their new productions that the crowd highly anticipate for their release.

For this fresh record, each artist contributes a track for a mini VA compilation showcasing the label's sound. Belgian producer Milo Spykers opens up with 'Traversing', a heavy-hitting cut with a ravenous sound design. Hot on the heels of her recent compilation for the fabric presents series, Amelie Lens steps up with her brand new tune 'The Future' featuring energetic synth hooks with her signature vocals. AIROD goes ravey with 'Divine Power' introducing jungle elements, while on the other side, Farrago delivers a catchy vocal-led slammer with 'Step Up'. Ahl Iver, the newest addition to the label, brings the final touch with the intoxicating 'Night Creature'. The future is bright!

After contributing with a remix in 2018, made of concrete invite Johannes Volk for a full-length artist release. Callum Plant - I Guess U Know [Liberta Records]

Tabulat unleashes its seventh release delivered by no one other than Indepth. After impressive outlets on Etruria Beat, Prospect Records and Autektone Dark, Tabulat is thrilled to welcome the Israel-based artist to the imprint. The powerful ‘Metaphysical EP’ contains two thriving originals, as well as a splendid remix by Dutch prodigy AMEKMAR.

The EP initiates with the title track ‘Metaphysical’, being an unadulterated peak-time weapon. Solid drums and uplifting percussion pave the way for 303-flecked arps and nostalgic plucks to kick in. The combined harmony of sounds steadily modulates towards a mind-bending and earth-shaking climax.

The second track ‘In Secret’ can hardly be called a B-sider. This offering takes the atmosphere to higher levels right from the start. While flirting with the edge of hard trance, Indepth succeeds once again in composing a perfect dance floor gem filled with momentum and suspense.

Over the last year, Dutch-based AMEKMAR has thoroughly been catching the eyes and ears of the contemporary scene. After her debut EP on the Belgian Coincidence Records, Tabulat gladly welcomes this promising Dutchie to the imprint. Her hypnotic remake of ‘In Secret’ brings utterly transcending vibrations to an already stunning EP.

Toronto’s MSTRKRFT have built an eclectic and expansive catalogue of productions and remixes over time, with the duo, Jesse F. Keeler and AI-P whipping up aural delights that have touched on electro, punk and blistering techno.
 
Their first single for Dense & Pika’s Kneaded Pains label quite expectedly finds MSTRKRFT flexing their techno chops.  
 
‘Spirit Of Truth’ is a rowdy and riotous assault to the ears, as pummelling beats and hefty rave tropes are accompanied by a frenzied vocal dialogue that really doesn’t mess about!  ‘Chords Again’ is a slightly more restrained affair, but composed with equal measures of ferocity and pace, as a simple piano stab  riff and a sweet cacophony of driving drums zip by at breakneck speed.
