Roman Poncet, surfaced in 2013 with a growing catalog on labels as Deeply Rooted, Taapion or Figure. The blend of the two producers is simply incendiary and their profound compatibility takes all its sense on these two EPs.

Our premiere ‘Binz‘ is the work of Cologne pair @monogenic aka Julio and Arian. Imagine the lovechild of Annanan and Brendon Moeller, submerged into deep, aqueous rollings of reverb and tape-saturated delays. The track then turns the lo-fi turbo on halfway in, whipping a stiff 4/4 programming over hard-hitting claps and spraying hi-hats at breakneck speed. Nasty.

USA’s Jon Hester serves up four heady techno cuts for the second installment in Rekids’ newly launched techno orientated series Special Projects.

Based in Berlin, Hester’s discography may be humble but it is one of pure quality. The American techno producer has released on Rødhåd’s Dystopian, appeared on a release alongside the likes of DJ Richard, Hinode and Arthur Kimskii (Point Break) on L.A.G., and now joins the Rekids Special Projects series featuring FBK, Markus Suckut and DJ Deep.

Heaving distorted kicks and echoing stabs lay the blueprint to ‘Inertia’ whilst intricate hats make way for metallic melodies. Speeding things up, ‘On The Move’ is a more driving cut in comparison with its trippy atmospherics and crunchy percussion, whereas the surging ‘Short Circuit’ demonstrates syncopated percussion and ominous synths for a rhythmic dancefloor workout. Finally, ‘Neurons’ sees various cosmic elements ebb in and out of the mix for a mesmerising conclusion.

In 2010 the electronic music scene in Brazil is experiencing one of the most interesting periods. Following the consolidation and popularization of the previous decade, innovative countercurrents and those helped revitalize the alternative scene with parties at old factories, activist DJ collectives and unpublished crosses between genders, particularly thermal fusions between brazilian and electronic sounds.

The Massa Records label was born in 2018 to channel some of that energy and creativity into quality music productions. With their sharp radars of sound and ideas, the label's founders, DJ and producer Renato Cohen, and DJ and manager Fernando Moreno, demand a bit of national exuberance for the world.
