6dimensions founder Steve Bicknell teams up with @Granulart  Recordings to release two slamming techno cuts entitled ‘Constant Movement’ including a remix from PoleGroup’s Oscar Mulero.

Bicknell has been at the forefront of the UK’s electronic music scene since its infancy. His career spanning over a 25-year period has seen him release a number of standout records on his Cosmic Records imprint before starting his 6dimensions label some years later which acts as a home for his newer releases. Steve Bicknell’s productions truly embody his no-nonsense approach to music, delivering energetic yet captivating sonics which also fluidly translates into his DJ sets. ‘Constant Movement’ sees Steve join Kessell’s Granulart Recordings following the likes of Developer, Oscar Mulero, Head Dress and the label boss himself.

‘Constant Movement’ kicks things off with modulated stabs fused with pounding kick drums and a rumbling bassline pulsating underneath before the legendary Oscar Mulero and PoleGroup founder adds slick percussion, soaring oscillations and warped sound-design to his remix of ‘Constant Movement.

Paris-based DJ & producer AIROD aka Dario Brkic returns to Amelie Lens’ Lenske for his second 12” on the Belgian label, ‘Rave Cycle’. Previous solo EPs on Molekul, on his Elixyr and the acclaimed ‘Voltage’ EP on Lenske earlier this year have brought him to play at some of the most emblematic clubs of the international circuit and become part of the Exhale showcases. Following a new round of bombastic releases by the Lenske crew: Farrago, Milo Spykers and Lens herself, it’s now the turn for the Elixyr Records boss to bring the heat. 

As expected from AIROD, this new record sounds like it could have been released in 1994. He uses references from rave, acid and gabber together with his fresh approach, the result are 4 club-ready cuts to hit massive sound systems. Prolific Berlin based producer Lars Huismann drops his 2nd EP with Soma, Embraced By Shadows. Slowly building an extensive catalogue of releases, the young producer once again hits the mark with a solid collection of pounding Techno.

Hydra opens with hypnotic polyrhythmic elements drifting across hard hitting and thundering percussion. Centaur’s ripping synth tones tear through as Lars once again utilises skull crushing rhythms to great effect throughout. Aquila touches on more deeper atmospheres whilst still remaining a solid dance floor track. Pegasus closes out the EP and as usual, doesn’t hold back. Huismann easily crafts drama through out with clever use of sweeping FX and rhythmic manipulation.

Berlin-based Irish artist Hybrasil returns to Rekids with four murky techno cuts in ‘We Don’t Flip’.

Having made numerous appearances on Rekids including ‘Embers’, his debut album released last year, Hybrasil has become a core artist on Matt Edwards’s label when not releasing on his very own eponymous imprint. Reflecting on an amazingly creative 2019, at the start of this year Hybrasil set a new creative path for his future live shows, writing new music that received regular support from Radio Slave, which is what ultimately shaped this new four-track release.

‘We Don’t Flip’ opens the package with an immediate shadowy aesthetic before rattling kicks, off-beat hats and snappy snares lay down the groove as distorted vocal murmurs join delayed synths. ‘Hour Glass’ is next with its syncopated rhythm and quivering pads before ‘Ikigai’ takes things into wonkier territories courtesy of subtle melodies, metallic atmospherics and dubby chords. Tying everything together, ‘System H’ takes things up a notch, adding extra oomph to the package using powerful drums, rippling bass and deep stabs.
