Alinka Returns to Rekids with her latest EP ‘I’m Your Ghost’.

Following the relaunch of her label Twirl alongside Shaun J. Wright, Alinka now brings her brand new EP 'I'm Your Ghost' to Radio Slave's Rekids. Having made frequent appearances within its catalogue, her 'I'm Your Ghost' EP sees the Ukranian-born, Chicago-raised and Berlin-residing producer return with four eclectic and club-orientated house tracks. These will sit amongst her previous releases on Permanent Vacation, Needwant, HE.SHE.THEY and Crosstown Rebels. 

“This EP is a dedication to Chicago, and all the "teachers" that made me fall in love with House Music. They're tracks for the dance floor. I wrote them for the people who are too busy dancing to stare at the DJ.” - Alinka 

'Teachers' is the first cut presented on 'I'm Your Ghost' with its sharp percussive layers building towards the well-honed grooves in its composition. Title-track 'I'm Your Ghost' punches through next with weighty, wobbling subs placed against a catchy lead. 'I Still Believe' is featured with rising chord progressions and pounding kicks as '909 Lives' draws the EP to a close with an intricate mix of synths and striding drum work, paying homage to its title. It’s a package highlighting why Alinka is on an unstoppable rise, with support from some of the biggest names across house music.

Citizens Of Vice welcome Dutch duo Offshore and Coen to the label with a full release having recently featured on the recent COV compilation 'Meraki’.

The Hague based producers have been busy releasing on stellar labels including Jimpster's Free Range, At Jazz Recordings and Lazy Days, so you might have an idea of what these guys can bring.

Hold On kicks things off featuring the vocal talents of regular collaborator Paya, on this Old school House style groove with its infectious synth bass and warm retro pads.  
Staccatomansteps up to deliver a percussive workout on the remix stripping back the track and adding some acid thump!

Deep Insidegets euphoric over building stabs and cow bells, and could sit at home in the warm up or as the end of nighter..

Monty Luke unveils the first part of ‘Nightdubbing’ on Rekids.

Monty Luke’s ‘Nightdubbing (Part 1)’ on Rekids launches with '40 Acres And A Terabyte', a droning and deep cut with broken beats and sustained chords that convey a real sense of space travel. It's physical but emotional, making a lasting impact before the title track, ‘Nightdubbing’, joins in with melancholic chords which strike a bittersweet note, slowly evolving into warm, uplifting rays of cosmic energy.

'Dark Paradise' is another masterful mix of musical chords over deep, dynamic drums below. It's the sort of track which makes the mind wander, with closer 'Bob Molly' boasting wispy pads and astral keys. Each sonic element darts about the airwaves over a woody and organic groove that's both loopy and hypnotic. 

Monty Luke spent ten formative years in Detroit, where the city's unique musical spirit influenced him immensely. He has since distilled this experience into the music he has put out on labels like Rekids, Planet-E, Hypercolour, and his own Black Catalogue. His raw, dub-infused sound comes with plenty of futuristic designs, with the variety of this first instalment of ‘Nightdubbing’ showing real, tastemaker class.

James ‘Harri’ Harrigan and Max Raskin are Glasgow duo Manakinz. The former is synonymous with Glasgow’s monumental Sub Club and his multi-storied Saturday night residency that’s been going strong for 33 years, Subculture, alongside his long-time partner and fellow Glasgow legend, Domenic Cappello. Harrigan has put out a long list of releases as The Pa Pa Washington Trio, Daddy’s Favourite, H Foundation, DJ Harri & The Revenge, and Burnt Island Casuals. Max Raskin aka Affi Koman, started DJing in Glasgow clubs in 2006 with a residency at the Liquid Lounge. He was also resident at the legendary Sunday Circus for 9 fun-filled years, earning himself a solid reputation among heads as one of the city’s most thrilling and innovative players. He’s released on Sensu, Esa’s Rememory Music, La Dune, Posterboy, Lyceum Social Club and Huntleys & Palmers Clyde Built Compilation Series. 
Initially Harri and Max were just sending out tracks to friends in the know, but when Weatherall phoned Harri to say he was loving the music, they stepped things up and have since put out on Jacques Renault’s  Let’s Play House, Future Boogie, Monologues, Refuge and Mitchell Street. With projects in the pipeline with Jasper James (Harri’s son) and for Ashley Beedle’s North Street, there’s plenty of quality to come in ’24.
Manakinz have put together this maxi EP comprised of eight cuts that range from headsy Alfos chug, to deep down dubby disco, to Detroit-tinged basement filth. You’ve got it all on this ridiculously good collection.

Running Back and Hivern Discs artist Katerina debuts on Rekids with a dreamy house EP titled ‘One’, which features a remix from Aleksi Perälä. 

The title track of Katerina’s ‘One’ EP on Rekids starts off with bodied bass drums, rich analogue synthlines and soothing vocal-laced melodies. The Finnish-Bulgarian artist appears on Rekids following her 2023 Panorama Bar debut for the label, now adding Radio Slave’s imprint to her extensive discography on labels like Running Back, Hivern Discs, and Rhythm Section.

“This record was born out of the longing for emotional intimacy in a world of fast technology. There was a very natural flow to writing the music and the songs felt as if they wrote themselves. To be able to work with my all-time favourite Finnish artist, Aleksi Perälä, is a dream come true. Not only do I love his music, but his humane approach to life. We are one, and we shouldn't forget that. It's important to stop and be present not only for others but for yourself and the universe too.” - Katerina 

Fellow Finnish artist & international scene legend Aleksi Perälä then joins Katerina’s ‘One’ EP for the remix. Known for his imaginative sound design work on Clone, Trip, Rephlex and his own AP Musik label, Perälä turns ‘One’ into an equally whimsical, continually evolving dance trip. Dream-like keys trickle over rolling drums in his version before Katerina’s ‘Papu’ introduces the B-side, featuring a set of wonky chords played over an earworm bassline. ‘Look Into My Eyes’ is up last with gorgeous dubbed-out sonics, deep low-end and more after-hour melodies, closing out this irresistible addition to the Rekids family. 

This is another artfully crafted excursion through house and electronica from Katerina.
