Austria’s Uncertain arrives on Rekids' REK’D label for the first time with the ‘Nasty House’ EP 19th September 2025. He follows up his 2024 ‘Praise’ album on the Techno-focused RSPX sibling label, alongside several EPs since his debut in 2022.

For ‘Nasty House’, he turns the clock back to his 90s House roots, before his signature, drummy Techno sounds as Boriqua Tribez in the 2000s and later Uncertain project. ‘Nasty’ is up first, a tough beat underpinning deep, swishing synths which thread along the bassline while classic House elements subtly rear their head throughout. ‘Push’ continues, slightly more jacking, but equally classy, fusing lush chords with expert, old-school sampling.

Active since 1989 as Boriqua Tribez and known as Uncertain since 2018, he has made a name for himself with diverse productions that have made him one of Beatport’s top-selling Techno artists, while his fast-paced three-deck mixing and dancefloor storytelling fuel his tours abroad. Across the last three decades, he’s worked on countless releases on labels like Truncate, Beard Man, Illegal Alien, and Mind Medizin.

Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense House music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has released dancefloor-ready EPs from artists such as St. David, DCLVIII OFC, James Juke, James Curd, Ketiov, and more.

Premiere: Uncertain - Nasty [REK'D]

It can happen that things come together without too much planning. That's how Beno, Bernardo Campos and Gush ended up with Space Jazz EP. Three artists from Rio, all coming from slightly different corners of music, sitting down to play and letting themselves go. Bernardo has been around the block, playing in sweaty Rio clubs, the kind of gigs where you get a nod from a bunch of legends and realise you did your job right. He's carried that curiosity everywhere, from beach bars in Bahia to late-night residencies back home. Beno comes from a newer wave, restless, building labels, ideas, and pushing Brazilian electronic music as far as he could. And Gush, the jazz head who grew up in a house full of Musica Popular Brasileira, now turning all that heritage into keyboard lines that sound open and breezy. He's the little spice that make the dish better. Here's what these three minds are about: a small harmonic collision that just makes perfect sense. The EP is two tracks. Space Jazz, the opener, with the obvious title. There is a groove, there are keys, but it's more about the air between them. They converse. J All Night is even warmer, the kind of tune you keep close for when the night is stretching past reason. Both are simple, comforting. It's House music, after all, made by people, not machines. The record marks the 58th release on Apparel Music's EXTRA catalogue. EXTRA has been our corner for novelties for a while now, our way of scratching that itch to try things out. Uncertain - Nasty - REK'D

theBasement Discos presents "Villa Paradiso," a meticulously curated ten-track compilation that serves as a compelling roadmap through the diverse territories of contemporary house music. This collection confidently navigates the deep and atmospheric, the driving pulse of tech, the swinging grooves of garage, and the raw, foundational sounds of Chicago, Detroit, and jackin' house. The label has assembled a proficient international roster, including Marat Mode, Daisuke Miyamoto, Blaine Connell, Orbital Drum System, Carlos Salas, just to name a few, ensuring a journey that is both varied and coherent. The album’s strength lies in its sequencing and selective vision, weaving together these varied stylistic threads into a cohesive narrative that feels less like a random assortment and more like a guided tour of a shared musical ethos. A prime example of the compilation's quality is Marat Mode’s “Flow.” The Valencia-based producer, with previous well-received appearances on labels such as Awen, Somatic, Música Cavernicola, and Family Piknik Music, delivers a masterclass in timeless house construction. The track is built on a robust, warm bassline and a shuffling rhythm section that pays direct homage to the classic Chicago sound. However, Marat Mode elevates the composition with sophisticated details: infectious, well-placed vocal hooks and a luminous piano layer that cuts through the mix with emotional clarity. This combination of solid foundational grooves and elevated musicality results in a track that is both functionally effective and richly engaging.

Berlin’s J Choirboy debuts on Rekids Special Projects with the ‘Mammoth’ EP, landing 17th October 2025. The title track taps into the sort of big, muscular club tools that defined Rekids label head Radio Slave’s early career, with fizzing chords hanging above booming kicks and a constant tension built to dominate dance floors. ‘Loam’ is just as heavy, this time with bright chords bouncing oﬀ gritty, rolling drums for full-body workouts in the club. ‘Stacco’ sinks into grainy territory with static-charged synths and a swinging kick, perfect for warm-ups or 5 a.m. hypnosis. Closing cut ‘The Miller’ layers liquid chords and perfectly syncopated drums into a vast wall of warm, enveloping Dub.

Rooted in choral traditions but driven by a love for Techno and early rave, J Choirboy channels both musical depth and raw energy into his productions. Now based in Berlin, he has previously released on La Mission, now returning with a strong debut for RSPX via the ‘Mammoth’ EP, which has already won support from the likes of DJ Rolando, Elisa Bee, and Truncate.

Originally "Back in the Days" released in 2004 on Resopal Schallware marked Tigerskin as a torchbearer for pop-oriented groovy House, reviving the raw energy of early 90s bleeps, swung beats, and untamed dance floor spirit but transforming it with the technical possibilities of the early 00s into his trademark romantic vision.

From the pulse of “Dance Now” to the cringey charm of “Party in My Car,” Tigerskin proved that Back in the Days was more than a look backward - it was a bridge between era's: a reminder that the roots of club culture still grow, still breathe, still move people.

Two decades on, this re‑release doesn’t just bring back nostalgia - it reminds us that reminiscing every once in a while can push creativity. The album and a few EPs around it were the start of a pretty different approaches to club music for Tigerskin, that led to several big tracks and remixes, some now considered to be classics by many. 

The three formerly unreleased and slightly more club-oriented bonus tracks had been recorded the same year but were amongst many that didn’t make it to the album.

When Wolfskuil recording artist Thomas Lauren came to us with his new techno project Qindek, we were instantly intrigued. Qindek sees Thomas moving away from his melodic background into uncharted abstract territories, without losing the warmth and depth we’ve come to know him for.

Three tracks (two originals and one live jam with Digga) are on this EP, each with it’s own distinct character. The titletrack is psychedelic little monster wich received support from Peter van Hoesen and Sandrien in the demostage allready. It’s dark, brooding atmosphere is matched only by the suspense and irie groove, withour ever reaching full climax. It’s counterpart, the bigroom anthem ‘Te Beroerd’, on the flip is a whole different matter. Very powerfull stuff and there is absolutely no way around it’s rave antics and monstrous kickdrum.

Last but definitely not least is the livejam Qindek did with his studio companion Digga. Harder & Faster is a great hypnotic session of the guys with a catchy, almost sweet sounding theme draped in lush sounddesign and pounding grooves.
