Procombo drops ‘Shadows EP’ on Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects this October.

Fresh from his ‘U Wanna’ release on Rekids Special Projects in September, Istanbul techno staple Procombo drops another five-track techno EP on Radio Slave’s label. Active in Istanbul’s techno scene since the mid ’90s, Procombo heads up RX Recordings, an offshoot of the vital RX Istanbul club in the city.

“This EP has a few tracks that I've been working on since the beginning of the year for the funkier, groovier side of things. I like working by making catchy and creative loops and adding sprinkles of vocals, so this EP is just an end result of what I wanted to achieve. Releasing two EPs in two months for one of techno's top labels is a great honour and I want to thank Matt for the opportunity” - Procombo.

French Techno producer Klint drops ‘Arsenic EP’ on Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects.

Montpellier-based artist Klint recently appeared on Rekids Special Projects as part of the label’s ‘Actualize’ compilation and has previously contributed his fierce Techno to the likes of Truncate and Modulars following his 2021 debut on Planet Rhythm. Returning to Radio Slave’s imprint with a full EP of his rhythmic, driving techno, the artist delivers four outstanding cuts that land on the label this March.

Leading the release, ‘Arsenic’ sees springy chords and powerful drums ricocheting around a metallic soundscape. ‘Klapper’ follows, bringing twisted leads, vocal stabs, and wonky FX for a trippy techno track. On ‘Record The Discord’, Klint reaches for broken kicks and bubbling synths that lead into a twisted breakdown before the emotive ‘Tulipa’ closes proceedings with twinkling arpeggios and rattling percussion.

“In this release, I was inspired by old-school sonorities mixed with today's rhythms. I was able to express myself this time with a few melodies, which brings more soul to the tracks.” - Klint

Brighton's Charles Green makes his debut on Ben Sims' Hardgroove imprint this summer with 'Routes', four hardware jams which display his love of classic techno sounds. 

Green has made his name as a resident at Brighton's lauded Pattern's venue, where his own night First Floor has been responsible for flying the techno flag on the UK's South coast in recent years. With just handful of releases under his belt, he's a producer that has focussed on learning his craft and, on 'Routes', it shows. 

From the rowdy, evolving stabs of 'Rave No Name' and 'Strange Leader' to the break driven 'Musikbox', previously seen on Sims' 2018 'Tribology' comp, 'Routes' sees Green explore the relationship between UK rave sounds and classic, raw techno with ease.  Closing out the EP with 'Routes', the deft producer also displays a canny knack for depth and melody within his style too.
