An attempt at taking a classic rock song and making it sound more electronica. We were in the studio and my song I was working on fit "Woodstock" - so we changed it to that song. 
I would love to work with DJ's to take this song into more of an electronica feel direction... so it can dance... let me know if you hear it.

Prolific American artist Jon Hester returns to Rekids for the first instalment of his new album, ‘Converge’, this September.

Jon Hester grew up in the Midwest US, living in Chicago and Minneapolis while taking musical cues from Detroit. Initially he was a dancer, and later transitioned to the decks with a refined understanding of what it takes to move a club. He progressed to hosting his own events, holding residencies, and working at a record shop, and now brings his physical rhythms and adventurous drums to his productions, with output on respected labels such as Transmat, Deeply Rooted, Dystopian, Klockworks, and LET Recordings, not to mention multiple appearances on Rekids.

Continuing to show fine form on his debut album, Hester now serves up eight of his signature house and techno fusions with plenty of his trademark directness across four sides of vinyl. The superb 'Sending Signals' opens the album with scene-setting synth modulations full of sci-fi atmosphere. It's the calm before the storm as 'Metropolitan' then immediately sets off on a cantering groove that is eventually run through with busy, jazzy piano keys that bring the soul.

'Haze' has excellently taught kick drums with hypnotic synth tones adding colour, and features Hester on saxophone. When 'Rain' comes, things grow darker and more menacing, with shakers and urgent stabs keeping you moving at a slick pace.

The second half of this compelling record features the loopy punches and pulses of the super smooth 'Dreamstate', beautifully cosmic and widescreen techno of 'Free' and pensive but urgent deep electro of standout cut 'Flex.' Last of all, 'Equinox' is lit up with distant chords which bring a far-sighted gaze to the rolling, robust kicks.

As a resident at Steamed Jams for the past year he has helped cultivate a popular night, with an eclectic range of genres, fast paced music and unrivaled atmosphere. Siggs has used these nights as an opportunity to develop his versatility and ear for cutting edge sounds, which shines through in his mixes. His desire to showcase his love for hard hitting, bass driven techno has led him to embark on a new venture, co-founding the new Glasgow collective, Surge.

Mathias Kaden returns to Rekids with four-track EP ‘Control Your Mind’, featuring a remix from Marcel Dettmann.

Previously appearing on Rekids in 2019 with his ‘Liberate Drums’ EP, Mathias Kaden makes his second appearance on Radio Slave aka Matt Edwards’ label with four original tracks of razor sharp material, as well as a remix from Berghain resident Dettmann.

‘Control Your Mind’ opens with the impeccably produced title track, an electro flecked roller. Featuring hypnotic synth work and subtle automated inflections, the cut effortlessly glides, peppered with the occasional titular vocal refrain from Sven Väth puncturing the groove. Shifting into 4/4 territory is ‘Conviction’, a restrained but stunningly effective track that makes full use of memorable off-beat synth stabs and shimmering 909 percussion to constantly drive the track forward.

On the flip, Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann turns up the heat with his remix of ‘Control Your Mind’. Filtering the vocals, the MDR and BAD MANNERS boss also delivers a resonant bassline that works in tandem with knocking percussion, as creeping pads morph and evolve over the duration of the track, creating a trippy and propulsive banger.

Classic dub techno aesthetics are front and centre in ‘Substance’, a track destined for the golden hours between late at night and early in the morning, while finishing the package in fine style, the digital only ‘Anticipation’ showcases Kaden’s skill in crafting a killer peak time track, adding a welcome bonus of yet another weapon for USBs worldwide.

WHACK3RS VOL.1 it will be the first volume of a various artists series of sonic episodes to be released. WHACK3RS title arose from the idea that 3 tracks will always be included. For the first compilation to be released on WHACK, Aitor Ronda is inviting the well known german producer Heerhorst, the young Spanish talented Blakeit, and the Turkish rising artist Riza Gobelez based in Netherlands.

Before pressing the 'play' button. The concept of family is of enormous relevance to Aitor. No matter how much life changes in the future, it will probably continue to be needed in one form or another. And with that said, it should be clear that one of WHACK's main tasks will be to seek and discover real talent around the world.

Now, yes. Musically speaking, the common thread on this release is, of course, techno. A 3-track pack built with deep rhythms, some shamanic breathings and outrageous progressions. Sometimes techno with striking synthesizers and energetic drums, but also trancy with an evolving and singular grooves. That’s what happens listening to Aitor Ronda & Heerhorst’s “Blend Me”. Also transporting us to a kind of dark trance macrocosm, overwhelming pads and edgy synth patterns it is Blakeit with “Golden Ratio”. And last but not least mighty, “Clarify” by Turkish producer Riza Gobelez, a heavy compound of aggro 303 drives, convulsive electro- clapping and staccato bass motifs.

Theo Nasa makes his debut on Rekids this December with ‘Worldwide Ravers EP’.

The Alien Sound Trax boss, who has previously appeared on the likes of World Unknown, Suara, and UNCAGE, makes his mark on Radio Slave’s imprint with the hard-hitting and distinct ‘Worldwide Ravers EP’.

Deeply infused with the unmistakable sound of the UK, Nasa draws from his broad range of influences for his EP, distilling elements of Jungle, Rave, and Hardcore into his own brand of meticulously crafted, difficult-to-pigeonhole techno. Opener ‘Dubska’, clocking in at over ten minutes long, is a relentless and fast-paced affair, bubbling along at breakneck speed with the help of classic vocal samples, while ‘World Dance (Rinse Out Mix)’ fuses breakbeats and droning bass to create a high energy track that twists and turns at 140bpm. Field recordings of birds in ‘Summertime Raving In London’ sit alongside classic drum kits and emotive chords while living up to its titular character.

Riva Starr makes a highly anticipated return to his Snatch! imprint with two uplifting, soul-drenched house cuts featuring vocals from London-based singer Gavin Holligan.

As always with a release from East-London-based Stefano Miele, aka Riva Starr, there's fun, funk and musicality in bucketloads on offer with 'If I Could Only Be Sure'. Title-track 'If I Could Only Be Sure' is a soulful cut, fusing sultry, emotive vocals from ex-footballer and singer-songwriter Holligan with rich keys and a captivating groove. 'Scat Dub', a glorious and buoyant piece driven by loose, organic percussion and titular vocal rhythms that tightly wind hooks upon hooks within the track, rounds things off with some serious earworm-ing chops.

A musical free spirit, there's good reason why Riva Starr's productions and remixes find homes at so many top tier labels and 'If I Could Only Be Sure', complete with superb vocals from Gavin Holligan, is yet another diamond in his discography.

With a heatwave of 18 tracks and a roster that spans as far wide around the globe as the genre diversity in the tracks, TR4R returns with Rough Cuts Vol. 2. Bringing in some familiar suspects, the compilation flexes some of the untapped corners of techno, breaks and pumping electro.

Clocking in at over 8 minutes, the Dublin duo deliver a fierce trance-nodding epic with the track “Calling.” The duo, who aren’t unfamiliar with rave cultivation, coalesces sounds of Copenhagen-infused trance and house aesthetics with a momentum that builds into one of the most emotionally invigorating cuts on the Rough Cuts Vol. 2 by the Germany-based label Too Rough 4 Radio.
