Hello and welcome back to the show…. Somewhere in_____. The past few months have been a BLAST! I have found myself playing under an overpass in Minneapolis, having a sort of home coming in Grand Rapids, and making my Chicago debut at one of the longest running underground parties (+15 years) in a BASEMENT… somewhere in the heart of the city! This place is ____ PODVAL. I must say that this place and experience is something that I will never forget!!! The crowd and the host were the best!!! The sound was AMAZING and I even got to play with one of my good friends; Chicago Skyway!!! That being said this selection was inspired by the music and vibes I woke up to several hours later when the host and a few friends were still playing music at 10AM. The picture you see was taken by me sitting on the floor looking  up at the speakers. The tracks in this SCENE #4 was the tracks I wanted to play on that sound system at that moment…. That morning…. I was just too damn tired!!!!

This month's excellent guest mix comes from Basement Project resident DJ, Martin Anthony Murray, aka https://soundcloud.com/murch who delivers an uncompromising salute to underground techno music, staying clear of the norm and main room influences, but instead focusing on experimental, broken-beat, fractured techno throughout.

I have been a big fan of M.A.M.s mixes for many years and am always amazed how few tracks I can ever identify when listening to his sets, illustrating brilliantly how wide the spectrum of techno spans, yet still maintaining the gritty, groovy, machine funk that makes techno just so good!

This time Relapso comes in a hard way to show everyone that his vein of Industrial and powerful Techno it is here and will not go away! He delivers four Techno powerful tracks. Starting with Espectro where he combines hipnotic percussion loops with an uprising pad to put you in ectasy until he kills you with a powerful breakout! He moves to the track Futurista where he plays around with noisy hats along the track! For the main track of the EP Mente he starts with a huge bass a lot of automations in the percussion loops to put always kicking the foot in the dancefloor. And to finish he brings the track Serenidade where by the name is not exactly so calm, but a wonderful and rushy melody comes in!

Italian born, Berlin based Giordano returns to Soma after the success of his first EP bringing his tough yet melancholic sound back to the label with the Heat Is Too Hot EP. 

Title track Heat Is Too Hot gets this moving quickly with huge, rumbling kick drums leading the charge before dischordant synths chill the atmosphere. Forename keeps things rough and ready with distorted percussive elements set again sweeping, panoramic atmospheres. Piangere closes out Giordano's latest release on a more melodic tip but still retains his standard tough drum workouts and soundscapes.

David Henriques is a Portuguese artist and musician based in United States. David founded Relapso in 2013 after 5 years learning production and DJing.
With a great adherence to Techno music he leads his sound experiments to re-create his own image of the world and from his mind in accordance to his feelings. He uses Techno genre to express his vision of the world, combining a great groove and old school elements. Also in 2013 created his own imprint "Relapso" to release his music and vision. Relapso label it is the main platform to release his Techno music. 
David already had the opportunity to play in various countries in Europe such as Belgium or France. 
David already collaborated with artists such Xhin, Samuli Kemppi, VIL, Robert S, Go Hiyama, Brendon Moeller, IORI in Relapso label.
