Teknologika

Relay, an Indie rock band formed by Wan Lutfee, Irfan Iskandar and Adeel Mohamed was formed on 31st August 2010 after a colourful past playing for few local indie pioneers band such as OAG, The Times and ACAB. 

Through a long spell in the music industry we are making full use of our experienced and talent at its best.With massive original composition down the pipeline, we are ready to rock Malaysia with our upcoming release album title “Teknologika”.

On 30 January 2011 the band released their 1st Malay single entitled "Provokasi". Provokasi had been aired in few local radio stations for nearly 9 month and also been on no. 1 spot or 8weeks in SarawakFM Kuching Sarawak. Since then, the band actively gained more fan base mostly from young generation all over Malaysia.

Kasabian, David Bowie, Kula Shaker, The Verve, Morissey, Oasis , Radio Head ,The Corals and many more are among our favorites and inspiration. These are the individuals & bands that influenced us in terms of songwriting as well as fashion and the attitude.
 
Relay move on to record a folksy fresh sounding second single titled “Oksigen”.  Relay never look back and progress positively in our music career by recording three more songs for our first album release.  For better carrier flow, Relay engaged a long time friend and ex-The Times manager, Ammir Hafzan to pursue their band management.

In August 2011, Relay started their recording session for “Teknologika”, “Déjà Vu” and “Ooops!” in Kings Studio Petaling Jaya. For this 5 songs album, the band hired a long time friend and mixing engineer during OAG heydays, Greg Henderson to mix the album.

This year 2012, Relay is ready to rock your ear lust with their latest ziggy kinky pop indie fully Bahasa Malaysia album title “TEKNOLOGIKA" planned to be release in May 2012 by our own label, Relay Records.
