Joining us for Tapes #113 is Inter­stel­lar Funk - known for his love of transcend­ing sounds, scenes, gen­res and gen­er­a­tions, which comes from work­ing at the famous­ly influ­en­tial Rush Hour record store, as well as travel­ing the world and pick­ing up his own glob­al influ­ences.

Instead of repeating the tricks that saw him break­through, he prefers to have fun mixing up the old with the new and join the dots between inspi­ra­tions from the past and take risks on unknown futures, keeping both him­self and his dancers on their toes.

Driven by a heavy bass addiction, an unconditional love for analogue synths and a craving for dusty drums, Interstellar Funk discovers more and more old and new gems by the day.

Shaped and permanently formed by soundsystem culture in the 90`s, he is launching Spiritual Sound System in 2000. Crew played important role in the czech underground. He co-founded the regular radio show Acidelika on Prague’s Radio 1 station, which in 2011 transforms into regular club parties and an outdoor festival where personas like Neil Landstrumm, Jerome Hill, Ben Pest, Dave Tarida took over deejay booth. Behind moniker Mystic Sky, he is performing slow-tribal beats Dj sets.
