'Mother Recordings charges on through 2021 with another superb release. This one from Italian duo The Deepshakerz features Marck Jamz, one of the biggest up and coming artists in Europe at the moment with tracks signed to Sony Music, PIV, Glasgow Underground, Toolroom Records and Defected Records, whilst Amsterdam based DiVine also links brilliantly for the second offering.

Put You On feat. Marck Jamz is a nice warm house tune with chunky drums to rock the floor. The warped synth and vocals duck and dive to bring movement and the whole thing really pops off.

Funky Bongos then picks up the pace with a more lively house groove, big chord stabs and some soulful female vocals to add another layer of warmth and richness.

This is another fine EP from the ever excellent Mother Recordings.'

Making their debut on the label, Mannheim natives Bunte Bummler follow up with a monster of a release, the ‘Purple Talk EP’. Here they deliver three tech-house bombs directed straight at the peak time dancefloor. Solid basslines, vocal snippets, sonic layers followed by hypnotic yet trippy FX, infectious melodies and ounces of energy make this an essential release for any record bag.  ‘Purple Talk’ is being heavily championed by Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed, Lee Foss & Patrick Topping.

Solid Grooves serve up a five-track sampler featuring label founders PAWSA and Michael Bibi alongside label favourites ONNO, Reelow and Dennis Cruz.

Launching in September last year, Solid Grooves Records has been on an upwards trajectory ever since. The London and Ibiza brand are now about to kick-start their weekly Ibiza event series every Thursday at Vista Club where their core artists will share the decks with special guests throughout the summer. In light of this the founders have curated five tracks from some of their core roster that’s illustrative of the Solid Grooves musical aesthetic.

First up, Dennis Cruz ‘Fever’ is a rumbling track boasting echoing percussion and a heady spoken word sample. Michael Bibi then drops a moody number teeming with syncopated rhythms and chopped vocals before ONNO unleashes a cavernous cut named ‘Body Shake’ that’s geared for the peaktime. Next, PAWSA ‘Luster’ is a bass fuelled roller that takes no prisoners until Reelow concludes the package with the intricate ‘Shaolin Slap’.
