Here at Data Transmission we’re firm believers that if you want something you should do you utmost to go out and get it. Thus when we made Marc Miroir’s ‘Let Me Go’  our single of the week we knew we had to go all out to secure it as a premiere and share it with you lovely people.

When it comes to making top-quality house music of a genuinely interesting and far-from-novelty persuasion, few of those in the contemporary game can hold a candle to Paso Music boss, Marc Miroir. It’s perhaps no coincidence, therefore, that his latest track exudes even more charming vibes. This time, it’s a collaboration with Elif Bicer that’s caught our attention. Bicer, of course, is a name who you might recognize from her work at Ostgut Ton (where she’s worked with Steffi among others), and the Let Me Go EP, we’re glad to report, is just as enticing.  

And in spite of the release featuring just the one original, there’s more than enough here to make one sit up and take notice. Starting off an immediately catchy loop, the track soon morphs into a steady and multilayered effort that packs more than enough punch into its 6-or-so minutes. Simple but most definitely effective, it’s full of twists and turns aplenty, and draws on the producer’s rich understanding of the dancefloor throughout. Sure to be a hit on dancefloors in Germany, London and Tokyo alike, it might just be the best house track we’ve heard in some time. As a bonus, it also comes with a classy dub too for those of you yearning for a vaguely different interpretation that keeps hold of the vocal.

Underground Audio brings you the freshest flavours from the Balearic with the “Weekend House” EP from Ismael Casimiro. Hailing from Spain, Ismael makes his debut on Underground Audio with this pumping three track package, including two originals and one remix.

The EP opens with “Weekend House”, a bass driven track filled with grooving riffs, tastefully placed percussion, and an acid-influenced warped synth motif evolving throughout the track. Tied together with subtle vocal interludes on top of tense buildups, Ismael
continues to build energy throughout the track, making this essential for warm-up sets.

The original is taken a step further by a remix from Spencer K, evolving the track into a darker, hard-hitting tech house weapon. His remix adds emphasis to vocal samples, while the heavy drums carrying the track are laced seamlessly with the warped synth motif
of the original. Filled with energetic drops after short yet frequent buildups, this track is perfectly placed for peak time application.

Closing off the EP is a second original by Ismael titled “Smooth Movement”. This rolling groover is hypnotic yet heavy - entrancing vocals and a deep bassline capture an air of mystique, while a keynote warped synth adds tension throughout. Venturing into a more minimal tech house territory, expect this track to make its way into multiple after-hours sessions.

Ismael Casimiro - Smooth Movement [Underground Audio]

Eats Everything makes his much-anticipated Edible label debut with the ‘Girl Powder’ EP, his first release since January of this year, and the first to land on his own imprint.  Comprising two new tracks, ‘Rita’s E’ and ‘Veronica Electronica’, the release will drop at the end of October on 10” vinyl and digital download.

2016 has already been a huge ride for the Bristolian DJ & producer extraordinaire; along with huge club cuts ‘The Duster’ (featuring Green Velvet) and ‘Big Discs’, remixes for Disclosure and Green Velvet (taking the classic ‘Flash’ track to dizzying new heights), Eats mixed the 86th edition of Fabric’s fabled compilation series back in February.

And as the Edible label edges towards its first anniversary, a slew of highly well received releases from the likes of Rhythm Masters, Jesse Perez, Lauren Lane, Lord Leopard and Brett Johnson, have established the imprint as a consistent force for quality house music.

With its infectious bassline, dubbed out keys and vocal call to arms, ‘Rita’s E’ find Eats on top form, carving out an energetic and funky club cut, whilst ‘Veronica Electronica’ gets deep, down and twisted with its duetting vocal delivery, hard hitting drums and rave-esque sirens.
