It is a Bon Odori song widely sung mainly in Mihara City. The original tune of the song is said to be Kyushu's "hiya-bushi," but according to local tradition, it is also said to have been derived from the "awaodori" sung and danced at the fall ceremony of Mihara Castle. It is sung and danced in an extremely lively manner with shamisen, flutes, drums, and yotsuzake (four bamboo sticks).
