The second track is ‘Orbital’ from Moonwalk, a Neapolitan duo who have previously released on Still Vor Talent, Get Physical, Knee Deep In Sound and more. A thudding bassline underpins waves of synth arpeggios, before an atmospheric breakdown provides the focal point of the track.

Filth on Acid is excited to welcome Cari Golden for a new collaboration with label honcho Reinier Zonneveld. "Bending The End" is the second track they recorded together and the follow up of the enormous hit "Things We Might Have Said", which was one of the biggest electronic hits of 2016.

That being said, Cari and Reinier wanted to bring something new to the table and started with a white canvas when composing "Bending The End", and because of that they ended up taking a totally different direction. This time the track comes in two variations, the melody centred original mix and a dancefloor orientated 4AM mix. 

The original mix starts out with a throbbing, deep Moog bassline, and a round, deep bassdrum, while at the same time blending soft, haunting effects and a fragmented, distorted melody. Cari Golden's voice, deep and beautiful, comes in and sets the mood for a hypnotic slow burner. The bassline initiates a subtle chord progression and delicate production skills elevate the mood of the track. Powerful but stripped back drum programming along with short bursts of white noise bring impact for the dancefloor. A long breakdown starts the orchestra by three of the big classic synths - Oberheim, Moog and Juno - and pave the road for unimpeachable ear candy with Cari's angel like voice as the centerpoint of the attention. All the elements come together and form an indisputable peak; without building up too obvious. In the vein of bending the end to the beginning again, the track's outro ends as it started: deep and delicate. The second version in the package - 4AM Mix - has a definite peaktime feel to it. Powerful driving drums and a heavy bed of sub bass kick lead the way to the introduction of looped elements of Cari's voice. Colossal, bassy stabs hint to original in a disrobed way. Long synth notes lying somewhere between bass and melody introduce the harmonies of the original during the breakdowns and translate it to demanding dancefloors in a profound way.

The new release on Markantonio’s label AnalyticTrail is a collaboration between rising star Gaston Zani and veteran production duo Filterheadz.
Gaston Zani has been rapidly rising through the ranks of the techno elite following his music released on labels such as Tronic, Bitten, Set About and Phobiq. Before teaming up with the Filterheadz, he has also collaborated with the likes of Matt Sassari alongside his many solo tracks.
Filterheadz are best known to some for their classic track on Carl Cox’s Intec titled "Sunshine" which was made in collaboration with Tomaz. Alongside this underground anthem they have had a number of other hit techno tracks on imprints including Toolroom, Unity Records, Bedrock and 1605.
Each of the three tracks on this EP are dark and dance floor focused with heavy percussion and lots of energy. “Subconscious” has hints of euphoria, whilst “Mathematics” is led by old school chord stabs, and “Ridge” finishes things with ripples of acid.

Steve Mulder is a veteran producer who has racked up an impressive back catalogue including Unrilis, 1605, Respekt, MB Elektronics, Bush, and Odd Recordings, along with previous solo EPs on Intec.

Giovanni Carozza is an exciting young talent who still early in his career, has already featured on many high profile imprints such as Unity Records, OFF Recordings, Suara, Bitten, and Phobiq.

The pair had previously met via Giovanni Carozzas release on Bitten where Steve Mulder contributed a remix, which proved to be popular with DJs and clubbers all around the world. With the blend of the two artists styles having proved so popular, it made perfect sense for them to further this notoriety by collaborating on some original tracks, and this EP is the fruits of their labour.

Primate opens the EP with its growling lead synth that gives it a monstrous sound full of ominous tension that adds to the track's ferocity. Like a ravenous predator with a huge appetite, the menacing mood of this techno track is full of aggression, and has an intensity perfect for maximum impact when being played through a club sound system.

All about the urgency of the arpeggiated synth, Avant Garde has enthralling tension full of excitement. Its stabbing lead sound adds further magnitude to its fast and furious groove, solidified with the pounding of the kick drum. Crunching claps and vocal phrases are all a part of this captivating cut that closes off the two track release.
