You know those moments in the club when the air’s thick, the bass is rolling, and everything just clicks? Simina Grigoriu Arkana is built for exactly that. This one's for the heads who don’t leave till the lights come on.

The Kuukou Records boss is back doing what she does best — fusing relentless drive with that signature Berlin edge. Simina’s been killing it for over a decade, with releases on Drumcode, We Are The Brave, OFF, and of course, her own ever-rising label Kuukou. If you’ve been on a dancefloor lately, chances are you’ve already moved to one of her cuts.

On her new two-tracker ‘Arkana / Partners Of Destiny’ (TERM246), Simina Grigoriu goes full throttle. ‘Arkana’ is a no-nonsense stomper with a pulsing bassline, stuttering synth stabs, and more bounce than a Berghain stairwell at 6am. It’s dark, it’s hypnotic, and it’s got just enough funk to make you lose it mid-mix.

Spartaque reappears in the Tulipa gardens with Vortex, a dark flowerbomb that rumbles like a wedge tornado ripping through the Great Plains. Each individual beat is powered by Mother Nature and she showcases her overpowering strength through Spartaque. Misstress Barbara and Aquarell both redirect the Vortex winds into separate columns of spinning air. The Original Mix, when presented alongside the two twirling remixes, create a trio of twisters worthy of future research from atmospheric/techno scientists.
