Produced off the back of a profoundly inspiring trip to his homeland last year, Luigi Madonna crafts the pin-sharp ‘Italian Shocks’ EP. The Amsterdam-based artist is a key Drumcode contributor, who runs the label off the back of last year’s well-received collaborative EP ‘Mad World’ with Roberto Capuano. 

The title track is brain-spangling, industrial and brilliant, characterised by a suspenseful narrative, which is typical of Madonna’s creativity in the studio. ‘This is the Future’ is crisp and rolling, an intelligent tool for every set. ‘Enveloping Times’ is punchy and hypnotic, an immense transcendental belter ready to be unleashed this summer. ‘Interfrequencies’ is an exhilarating rush to the head, as a killer bass synth and piston-like drums for a rave-ready finish.

Adam Beyer is back on Drumcode with an impressive array of tracks that will get the senses tingling and shows us what Drumcode is all about. These 4 tracks are deep and almost melancholic in their approach to techno, using effects to really help enforce an ambience only Beyer can achieve within his productions. The under lying throbbing of the drums drives this EP into the forefront of the heads down Drumcode sound and have been heard in many of Beyer’s phenomenal sets throughout the year.

Julian Jeweil lands on Christian Smith’s Tronic label on Monday 5th December with his remix of the label-head’s ‘Initiate Sequence’. We’ve got the exclusive premiere of the rework above.

The original track is taken from Smith’s third solo album ‘Inut/Output’, which also landed via Tronic earlier this year. For his remix, Jeweil pairs his trademark destructive low end with searing claps to destructive effect.

Jeweil’s cut comes as part of a remix package that also includes material from Kenny Glasgow, Kaiserdisco and Victor Ruiz.

Now in its second decade, with a steady stream of the most forward thinking and cutting edge techno productions, Drumcode has one of the biggest selections of releases from industry heavy hitters, whilst not forgetting its future by bringing the newest talented producers into the limelight, where Layton Giordani is now a name firmly within that line up.

The New York born, but now EU based producer first had recognition back in 2014, and his debut release came via Drumcode with his track “Rivington” on the A-Sides Vol5 compilation in 2016. 

Consisting of 12 original tracks, the album packs a punch when it comes to no-nonsense techno. Successfully weaving relentless drums and catchy vocal hooks into a selection of thick, brooding, atmospheric tracks.

Swiss duo ME & her join the Hottrax roster with a robust release featuring British duo Dense & Pika and Detroit’s DJ Bone on remix duties.

With recent appearances on Deeperfect, Natura Viva and Clarisse Records, the rising duo has quickly cemented a reputation as ones to watch since making their production debut back in 2014. Joining them on the release is Dense & Pika, who have been taking the world by storm whilst releasing on leading labels such as Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, Scuba’s Hotflush, not to mention renowned UK imprint Hypercolour. Meanwhile, DJ Bone needs little introduction having paved the way for quality techno for over two decades including running his renowned Subject Detroit imprint.

Sturdy kicks and intricate effects drive ‘Wild Rage’ forward before introducing metallic snares and animated melodies. On the other hand, ‘Thunderstruck’ is a dusky production composed of heady stabs and echoing elements that together generate a compelling groove. Dense & Pika’s shuffling remix of ‘Wild Rage’ shines a spotlight on a tantalizing synth as eerie nuances operate throughout, before DJ Bone concludes the package with a trippy and percussive reinterpretation of his own.

Anna V.'s remix on the track takes it to a whole new level, bringing out proggy vibes and an old school scent adding wide melodic arpeggios as well as and her typical huge bass lines and kicks.

M.I.T.A. - Synchronize (Original Mix) [VOLTAGE Records]

Drumcode has become a label synonymous with some of the most-cutting edge and forward-thinking techno over the last 20 years. Their artists include both emerging and established names, and one of those well recognised is Enrico Sangiuliano. Now announcing the very first concept album of his career.

The prolific Italian producer has been catapulted into the limelight after the runaway success of his past releases, and now Biomorph is born. 

A very special concept album designed to take the listener on a journey of evolution. A musical adaptation describing how biological and technological advances over numerous generations of time have all started from the same first step in our own biological journey.

Divided into 4 parts, Organisms opens with atmospheric tones, gradually blending complex textures and timbres to begin the evolutional process. The beginning of this section combines full sounding arrangements before stripping it all back to basics. From here it dissolves into the atmosphere. Organisms then progresses into a break-beat influenced, down tempo track using synths to add complexity to the straight, broken rhythms.

Galactic, futuristic elements are found in both tracks in Cosmic Forces. Upbeat, groovy, electronic synths resonate, before ‘Hidden T’ brings the tension to get things pumped up with stratospheric swirls and twirls to lay down one of the most mind meltingly deep drops.

Metamorphosis is mysterious, its opening beat is a deep and piercing tone that sends the listener into a sensory awareness of their surroundings before breaking into a fully charged, techno track, with Enrico’s trademark sounds and textures.

All evolution has an ending.

Two Probabilities shows the positive, starting out evocative and emotional, with a gentle harmony, gazing towards a ‘New Dawn’. On the other side of the spectrum lies the negative. This is influenced with a rhythm that articulates the beat of death, mathematical, cold and metallic in texture, it shows the unsustainability of its nature, with a hectic, anxious break beat influenced ending.

The digital version also features a bonus track; 'A Further Existence'.

Skream steps up to deliver the latest release on Alan Fitzpatrick's We Are The Brave imprint with a thunderous ballad titled 'Poison', which comes complete with a massive techno bomb remix by the label founder himself. 

The pairing has yielded a peak-time anthem and Fitzpatrick expressed how the project came to life was almost like fate: "Sometimes, some things are just meant to be. Ideas occur, actions happen, and everything falls into place. What started out as a creative itch very quickly escalated into something really exciting, so there were obviously special forces at work that day!"

'Poison' is set for release July 13.

It’s been 11 years since we released the first Spektre production on Noir Music and I’ve been a fan of their music for even longer. 
So it’s a great honor to have them back on the label with this amazing Shadowline release. 
The UK duo is currently making some serious noise in techno-world and well deserved as they keep shooting out great music.
 On this specific release I wanted the guys to show off their excellent production skills, so we get both their in your face, raw and unpolished sound with the acid opener “The Maze” and the more trippy, afterhours hypnotic title track “Shadowline”. “Planet Noir” sits nicely in between with Spektre’s hardhitting beats and signature melodies.
 On top of that we got an incredible remix of “The Maze” by Robert S (PT) who made the acid-journey more minimal and underground.
  I’ve had these tracks for quite some time and I don’t get tired of playing these. In the fast-moving techno- industry that’s saying a lot.
 I am honored and super happy to have the guys back on my label.
