Welcome to episode 184 of The Midnight Project. This is another Drumcode heavy episode, packed with momentum, raw energy, and tracks that hit right where they should.

We start strong with Mark Reeve and LUSU setting the tone, followed by heavy hitters from Belocca, Kaufmann, and Nicolas Taboada. The Drumcode fire keeps burning with Mattia Saviolo, JackRock, and METODI—all delivering that signature drive we live for.

Tobin Delroy’s remix by Nick Schwenderling adds a unaique twist, while Joyhauser brings the bass pressure. Ida Engberg’s Radiate brings a more profound moment before Acina closes the episode with hard techno I Call You.

Also, I’m excited to share that my residency for Tomorrowland 2026 is confirmed. Come to Ibiza for the rooftop sessions—we're taking the vibe even higher.

After a two-year hiatus since his last appearance on EXTIMA with the acclaimed Excuse Me EP and his contribution to OZBEK's massive OZBEK & Friends album, Turkish producer Mehmet Akar returns to the label with his striking new work, "Hireath" EP — a testament to his meticulous production style and deep musical identity.

Renowned for his progressive and melodic roots, Akar takes a bold step into peak-time techno territory, merging emotional soundscapes with driving intensity. The title track "Hireath" embodies a haunting sense of longing and cinematic tension, built through hypnotic repetition and subtle evolution — a masterclass in storytelling through sound. Its counterpart "Delyth" pushes the energy further, combining dark grooves and shimmering textures that showcase Akar's exceptional attention to sonic detail.

Adding extra firepower, Zafer Atabey delivers a remix of "Hireath" that transforms the original's emotional depth into a darker, faster, and more aggressive peak-time weapon. Having strong links to CLR and Electric Deluxe, @DJEmerson and his own Berlin based label has been dealing with quality outputs since 2005, featuring many of the biggest artists out there. It’s to no surprise that a decade later @Micro-fon is still pushing forward thinking sounds by new and established artists.

@XHEIarg is a key Argentinian producer, having a hand in one of the most respected club brands in Buenos Aires called Under Club and delivering many of the world’s Techno elite to the locals. Not only has he played with the likes of Jeff Mills and Juan Atkins, his productions are made for dancefloors and he’s already chalking up an impressive back catalogue of labels.

For today’s DT:Premiere we selected “Maniaco” which has deeper elements complimented by his usual punchy grooves. The highlights come from rising synth drones to rolling stabs that induce energy and emotion in the same instance.

Thomas Evans&#8217; version opts for a more sinister approach, complete with manic snares for added excitement and another ominous break for guaranteed maximum impact. The gears get pulled back a bit on the closing &#8220;Phase&#8221;, yet spacious chords and the trademarked rhythm section we&#8217;ve been accustomed to ensure for a suspenseful ride.</p>
