The years in Senegal where he was born from an union between a Cape-Verdean descent woman and a Musician and activist from Guinea Bissau have with no doubt forged his personality. His wandering in countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Guiné Bissau, Portugal, France and the USA do not go unnoticed when Remna Schwarz composes, sings or even speaks.
It is certain that his Hip Hop experience, his Backing vocal adventures in a Reggae band and his listening to Music from his Native land and the world have prepared him for his songwriting. To the likes of Keziah Jones or Ben Harper we see the connection between the man and the guitar as being a predominant factor for the writing, so it is no wonder that singers like ENEIDA MARTA, KARYNA GOMES, FATU DIAKITE, SARA TAVARES and many more have asked this unconventional musician to compose for them. When he is not writing or performing, his producing skills are called upon to support projects like DEEDO, the first PANAFRICAN Musical Streaming Digital Platform of which he is a proud ambassador today or is invited to feature on songs written by other great musicians such as LUIZ CARACOL.
