The Compound

In 2006, a group of friends from Henryetta Middle School decided to start a metal band just for fun. The starting members were Hunter Wallis, Taylor Duncan, Quentin and Mason Lane. After writing three songs, Taylor Duncan left his spot on guitar to pursue other goals. He was replaced by Colton Campbell. This line-up, however, didn't feel right. Taylor came back after a few weeks, but was placed on bass. After much debate, Colton was released from the band to allow Taylor back on guitar. Since they needed a bassist, they approached long-time friend Pete Arias. Together, they played many shows and by the third year recorded their first EP titled The Absence. Unfortunately, Hunter Wallis was released from the band due to personal reasons. The band was then in search of a new vocalist. They were approached by Christian Craig. The guys had heard of him several times before but never had the opportunity to experience his skills, but quickly learned that he had the right sound they were looking for. Sadly, another member of the band decided to pursue different goals. In 2010, Mason left the band. Pete was moved to guitar and the band continued to play shows. In need of the missing low end, Quentin proposed the addition of good friend Anthony Hamilton (not the RnB singer). The band agreed, and Anthony happily joined in. Several months passed and Pete decided to leave the band. What seemed like a difficult thing to continue, Remains kept playing shows and writing new music which will be on the new album due 2011. The new music had to be designed around the use of one guitar at live shows, but will feature two in the album. The line-up is still currently held and the band eagerly awaits the release of their first full-length album of which they are currently in the studio.
