This destination EP fuses Pandhora’s psychedelic rock and organica inspirations with rich berber sounds. The tracks were birthed from impromptu jam sessions in the Siwa Oasis, and retrace the steps of two guests in Egypt and the musical souls met along the way. 

Menna Hussein's vocals open up the expedition on Fatnis Island, nestled between sweet Ney flute frenzies.
Infinite Sahara Skies sweeps across dunes to the tune of Nomad Saleh’s dancing dulcimer, riding organic percussions that carry it all the way from the Island. 
Wrapping up the journey, Siwa swells from the ground up as we are smoldering through ruins of the Shali fortress, electric guitar in hand.

These grounds are one of the most isolated settlements in Egypt. In ancient times, they belonged to the revered Oracle of Amun, “the hidden one”. Today, we are delighted to encounter some of Siwa’s energy through the sounds brought back to us.

The more i looked into the situation, the country, its people and its culture, the more this track reminded me of so much beauty the media doesn’t portray." The song itself a slow of emotion trip with chopped up guitar licks, a gorgeous flute sample that takes the listener to far off desert lands . and producing incredible tunes utilizing live instruments played by himself, and tastefully incorporating these with electronic elements.

A century after the German philosopher made this famous assertion, different neuroscientists, musicologists, psychologists and anthropologists have proved that he was right. Based on the discovery of flutes made from bone, which were found in a cave in Germany and are the earliest recorded instruments so far, researchers estimate that music could be at least as old as Homo sapiens, who appeared about 200,000 years ago. But what is its function?

This question has tormented experts for centuries and there is still no conclusive answer. In the fifth century BC, Pythagoras proposed that music governed the harmony of the stars, whereas current scientific research—from the evolutionary and biological perspective—considers that music serves rather to govern the harmony between human beings.
