“MALCRIAAADO” is the opening track of the EP “Bass Morabeza” by Nha Lia (Hélyxir) & Charlie Pink and The Bits.

Afrofuturist dubstep / experimental bass with Cape Verdean soul: heavy wobble and growl bass, broken drums, glitchy fills and chaotic energy, built for catharsis on the dancefloor.

The lyrics, in Cape Verdean Creole and French, tell a tender and playful story: a friend who shouts “malcriaaado” as an identity, loves morna and funaná, travels to Cabo Verde and cries with happiness, “petit pays je t’aime beaucoup”, morabeza and the people of Sucupira laughing together.

The vocal sits loud and upfront, half spoken, half chanted, like a storyteller and hype leader riding a brutal bass wave.
