Pipers Into The Antideim (Part 4)

Visiting my Scottish friend Jack tonight and I reminded him of how much I loved his version of Auld lang Syne. I first heard him perform this at our local bookstore in 2020 where he and his wife, Wendy presented stories and songs together . But, this song was the one I took home in my heart, because I had never heard it sung so sweetly. I had only heard it in the bar room choir , which has its own brand of sentimental value. Ha! But, Jacks version caused me to reflect on the message of the song, which is one of friendship and renewal. I love the simple yet poignant message which we all need to be reminded of. WE all are such beautiful parts of one another's lives . I hope we can embrace this message together . Thank you for listening! Love to all ..

This was a lovely thing to make for this week's @disquiet trio project. I took the delicate duo between @terrencevane and @torpidscorpion and took a recording I made of @kate-gallaher who is playing her recorder in response to the many birds in Suffolk near her home, and by editing tiny snatches of her playing, and with a little pitch shifting here and there, I'm pretty pleased with the result.

I enjoy mashing sounds together that please me...would love to collaborate with like-minded souls...

The tools I have currently are a Samson Graphite 49 midi controller fed into Logic Pro X run on an @pple Studio. A heavily modified Crate branded Electra Guitar, a Crate branded Electra Bass with Wilkonson pups, an Alvarez-Yairi YM-1 Acoustic, a Vangoa Mandolin, a Kmise Ukelele, a mountain Dulcimer and some other noise-making toys fed into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 via various mikes.
