Meet Remo, a pivotal force in Southern California's electronic music scene. With roots in the early days of rap and techno, Remo's expertise in sound has evolved into technical mastery. As a DJ, mixtape archivist, and promoter, he's been deeply involved in shaping LA's underground soundscapes.

In 2008, Remo became an early adopter of dubstep, aligning with Pure Filth Soundsystem. Their precision-engineered Tuesday night sessions, featuring pioneers like Mala and Kode 9, were instrumental in establishing LA's dubstep movement. This foundation led to the launch of BASSFACE, a party known for its finely tuned bass frequencies that defined SoCal's bass music culture.

Beyond the clubs, Remo co-hosted in-store sessions at Dr. Freeclouds Record Shoppe, a critical node in the rave network, where vinyl enthusiasts shared and exchanged rare cuts in a community-driven environment. In 2016, he and his husband launched Bears Cubs & Beards at The Eagle in Silverlake. For over three years, Remo's technical prowess as a resident DJ created a sonic experience that culminated in their final event, Out Of The Woods, in November 2019.

Currently, Remo continues to innovate, releasing meticulously crafted mixes on platforms like Mixcloud and Soundcloud, ensuring his technical skills keep the music flowing and the culture thriving.
