Dangha enregistrée le 13 Février 2019 à l'occasion du festival Alafia organisée par Instrument for Africa ( I4A ) dans le cercle de Diré, région de Tombouctou. Yoma est chanté pendant la cérémonie de préparation de la mariée pour les noces.

Enregistrée à l’occasion du Festival pour la paix et la cohésion sociale ( Alafia ), la  troupe Tirit de l'ethnie Tamasheq (activités pastorales ) de Koïra, commune rurale de Dangha,cercle de Diré, région de Tombouctou nous a gratifié de deux belles chansons au rythme de Téardens et de Téndés.

Djamnaati signifies the arrival of peace in the Fulani language. It's played during ceremonies and celebrations. The song was recorded during Festival Alkibar in Niafunké in January, 2020. The cultural troupe is from the village of Dofana, commune of Soumpi, district of Niafunké, in the region of Timbuktu. 

Djamnaati signifie l’entrée  l’arrivée de la paix  en langue peuhl.
Ell se chante pendant les cérémonies de réjouissances.
La chanson Djamnaati a été enregistrée lors du Festival Alkibar de Niafunké en Janvier 2020. La Troupe culturelle vient du village de Dofana, Commune de Soumpi, Cercle de Niafunké, Région de Tombouctou.

The peace of slamer Mamoud Dicko of niafunké, Timbuktu Region was recorded during the Alkibar festival of Niafunké.
   Mamoud Dicko was the winner of the slam contest thanks to his messages bringing people together.
   In the title "peace", Mamoud Dicko promotes social cohesion between the peoples of Mali.

  La paix du clamer Mamoud Dicko de niafunké, Région de Tombouctou a été enregistrée lors du festival Alkibar de Niafunké.
  Mamoud Dicko a été lauréat du concours de slam grâce à ses messages de rapprochement des peuples.
  Dans le titre "la paix »,Mamoud Dicko pronne la cohésion sociale entre les peuples du Mali.

The song "kèlè Mangnin" from the municipal troop of Djenné, Mopti region was recorded in May 2019 during cultural week on the occasion of the plastering of the historic mosque of this city. 
 “Kèlè Mangnin” is a call for tolerance.

    La chanson "kèlè Mangnin" de la troupe communale de Djenné, Région de Mopti a été enregistrée en mai 2019 lors de la semaine culturelle à l’occasion du crépissage de  l’historique mosquée de cette ville.

The song “Loulato” by the Toroli musical troupe from the Koro circle is a call for calm.
"Loulato" is a sacred song that is only sung after killings.
  The Toroli troupe which only plays during sacred ceremonies or celebrations was recorded on March 21, 2019 during the Festival BOUROGOUN PLURIEL de KORO. 
 
  La chanson “Loulato” de la troupe musicale de Toroli commune du cercle de Koro est un appel à l’apaisement.
  “Loulato” est une chanson sacrée qui ne se chante qu’après des tueries.
La troupe de Toroli qui ne joue que pendant les cérémonies sacrées ou de réjouissances a été enregistrée le 21 Mars 2019 lors du Festival BOUROGOUN PLURIEL de KORO.

Ketine de Haman SANKARE from the Cercle de Nianfunké, Timbuktu Region was recorded during the Alkibar Festival of Nianfunké which took place from February 9 to 12, 2019.
Haman SANKARE was the companion of the late Aly Farka TOURE throughout his career as a percussionist and chorister as well as that of Afel BOCOUM.
     Ketine de Haman SANKARE originaire du Cercle de Nianfunké, Region de Tombouctou a été enregistrée lors du Festival Alkibar de Nianfunké qui a eu lieu du 09 au 12 Fvrier 2019.
     Haman SANKARE fut le compagnon de feu Aly Farka TOURE durant toute sa carrière comme percussionniste et choriste ainsi que celui d’Afel BOCOUM.

Traditional Inventiveness: Andra Kouyaté and Sèkè Chi Reveal the Innovative Spirit and Polyglot Funk in Mali’s Deepest Roots

In some musically vibrant corners of the world, innovation is the tradition. 

So it is in Mali, where the sounds of the Saharan north have mingled with an array of West African traditions in the south. Musicians like Andra Kouyaté show how his homeland’s deep and diverse roots are a constant source of innovative inspiration. 

The young scion of a profoundly respected griot family, Kouyaté has invented instruments, transformed Malian standards into fresh new pieces, and taken a contemporary ear to traditional sounds, incorporating pop and reggae with the effortless aplomb that has put Mali on the world’s musical map.

On his first major international release, Andra and his youthful ensemble Sèkè Chi bring a wide-ranging, aesthetically linked set of songs on Saro (Studio Mali; July 31, 2012). Saro features contributions by Amadou and Mariam; by wife and local star Mah Bara Soumano; by older brother Bassekou Kouyaté; by respected Malian singer Ami Sacko; by Harouna Samake the kamele n’goni player for Salif Keita; and by balafon whiz Lassana Diabaté of the Grammy-winning project AfroCubism.
