Whist at the time of writing, the format of this year's Amsterdam Dance Event is still being decided, one thing is certain, the music and spirit of the festival are stronger than ever! ADE connects a global electronic music community which is reflected in our 2021 sampler, bringing together homegrown Dutch talent alongside artists from Europe, South America, and The Middle East. The full melodic spectrum is represented, from deep progressive beats and emotional vocals to the tougher kicks and astral synths found at the darker end of melodic techno.

PREMIERE: Baxsta - Darkness (Original Mix) [Techgnosis Records]

For the 30th release of Infinite Depth, no one less than Brian Cid (@briancid) makes his debut on the label. The American bred and Berlin based producer has a very impressive discography and shows his darker side through this ‘Rise To The Fifth’ EP. The collection includes three storytelling originals with terrestrial atmospheres, guiding you to an unknown dimension.

The EP starts off with ‘Alma De Monte’, which means mountain soul. Around the organic kick and percussion, spacious elements are taking shape. Throughout the track these elements are generating a rising tension, which gets strengthened by a screaming sound of the mountain’s soul. 

The next stop towards the unknown dimension is ‘Mar Adentro’. The intergalactic, but still organic atmosphere gives you the feeling of being surrounded by a world bigger than ours. The earthy sawing synth in combination with the trippy higher details, makes you keep your feet on the ground, but brings your head into that mysterious and infinite world.

‘Rise To The Fifth’ gives you that extra push into the unrevealed fifth dimension. A dimension which a human mind is not capable of imagining. The stronger lower part of the track and celestial aspects are creating this journey toward the fifth. When arrived an unidentifiable sound welcomes you.

Back with @thirstyeyesmusic second release on JEAHMON! Records. And here comes another hypnotic hymn: "Heyoka", that takes Melodic House music into the next level. A beat full of dark drums and toms that makes you gonna move. An unique lead line is the catching element this time that is also the main hook in Sasha Carassis Indie Dance touched remix. The Italian artist who already released on labels such as Diynamic, ATLANT or Renaissance puts his current brand of music production inside this work, focusing on the grooving drum arrangement. "Fellini" closes down this release with another happy groove in the lows and a good-mood lead in the mids and highs. We're high too now!

Black Rose's eighteenth EP comes from the Italian duo Opposite Ways. The first and main track of the EP is "No Surprise" with the stunning deep vocals from Hydrah, the perfect harmony between sweet ambiance and melodies but with powerful and strong grooves, the pianos gives the extra romantic touch to the track. The second track "Exploring The Depth" is a jump into the void with a deep and dark mood and as the name suggests is an exploration into a dark world. The last one is "Tension", deep bass and frantic percussions will drive you till the break where you'll feel the tension generated from the main melodic synth/lead.

Since the release of 'The Sign' on our label, French rising talent Hugo Cantarra has seen his profile growing up fast on music platforms. He also launched his b-side project NØREQUEST with us a few months ago with two amazing Indie-Dance tracks with Cadillac Express.

Proudly evolving as a crossover artist, he permanently oscillates between Pop-Dance and Melodic Techno, crossing paths without any fears nor genre boundaries.
