Merodak is a project conceptualized in 2014, by René D'souza. Initially playing at underground gigs on the shores of the UAE. The first steps towards club nights came under the Cymatix Crew banner and was resident DJ at Posh Club, opening for Psy acts such as Gidra | Synthetic Choas. 
After a brief hiatus, Merodak moved to the shores of Goa, where he continued playing dark and intelligent psy beats opening for artists such as Terratech & Braindrop, his first big break coming in 2015 at Spirit Gust Festival sharing the stages with the likes of Areck and Psykosky.
