Julian Wassermann, Artche - Night Rider (6AM)

After appearing twice on Odd Echoes series, and being on the remix duties for the last EP of Julian Wassermann & Raphael Mader on Oddity; Artche present us his debut EP on the label.

The lead track ¨Lungs¨ is the opener of the EP, an energetic melancholic banger. His powerful groovy bassline, with the combination of the haunting pads and lead synths, create an uplifting vibe full of emotions throughout the track.

On the remix duties, Jody Barr, who also was part of the last Odd Echoes, reworks his version into heavier yet emotional cut.

Going deeper into the EP, ¨Tether¨ is the following track. The arpeggios and brass are the most catchy elements of this one, creating tension while the track builds up. The playing melodies and harmonies, create a beautiful response between each other, complemented by all the other elements.

To close the EP, Artche delivers two versions of ¨Passenger¨ which is the deeper cut. The percussion and the arpeggio, slowly build up as the track moves forward, releasing the tension with some beautiful chord pad stabs. The (Alt Mix) bring the version into a breaks mix, that makes you fall into the trip.

Label head honcho Fur Coat, presents his new ¨Time Traveler¨ EP. A very personal, profound and special piece created for Oddity.

The EP's title track ¨Ancient Stories¨ offers a melancholic and emotional atmosphere. Arpeggios and groove slowly build up, to unmask the beautiful chord progressions, with unique synth tones, which are the main element of the track, creating a beautiful summer closing anthem.

Continuing with the tracklist, ¨Time Ahead¨ shows a darker and deeper cut. A unique arp synth plays with the other quirky elements, that slowly build up, creating a nice energetic atmosphere.

¨Ephemera¨ is the grooviest cut on the EP. The dark tones, groove and synth make it very catchy. The detuned chord pads give a special touch to the track.

The closing track ¨Lost Days¨ evokes airs of early 2000's breaks, reshaped in a modern approach with a groovy bass, subtle vocals and beautiful synths coming into play together.

'Delusion' closes the package with a hypnotizing bassline wrapped around crystal-clear drums and tight percussion, which gradually give way to an expanding lead that grows ever larger, flanked by rich harmonies that will transport consciousness far and away.
