From the beautiful city of Ghent the young Kimmans land in Metrica. It was love at first sight. We were following this duo on their various releases and always wanted to welcome them on our label. Two powerhouses on the dancefloor present us with "LIghtning". The first track that gives name to the release we find an aggressive and sophisticated melody that will hook us from the moment we listen to it. As the track progresses this mystery is unveiled with the help of elements that will make it finally explode. "Round Corner" is elegance in a musical piece. The fragmented voice that runs through the track along with a bass line with groove is perfectly designed so that the listeners attention is attracted by the magic that composes it. These are the two proposals that Kimman presents us to make a release that will travel the best dance floors around the world.

For its sophomore release BAU_HAUS is heading off to red hot musical paradise that is Israel! Home to one of the words most vibrant electronic scenes, it is little wonder it currently incubates such a wealth of production talent. Fast-rising through its competitive ranks comes Omer Bar, who joins the BAU_HAUS / Renaissance family with a little help from his friends…

‘Tower Of Babel’ is a three-track EP of refined cool and title track of the same name kicks things off with fitting aplomb. Named after the mythical tower in Genesis, the tracks history is actually far more contemporary, as Omer explains, “It’s the first record I created in my new studio! I crafted it for my own DJ sets so it really is a true representation of my sound and the perfect introduction.”

Moving on, Frau Blau head honcho, Omri Guetta, joins the fray for Pop-up. “Omri is a dear friend and together we have come a long way,” explains Omer, “we started working on Pop-up during a late night session that lasted several hours and then kind of abandoned it. In fact, time went by and we basically forgot about it! After a year and a half we returned to working on it and very quickly realised that we had something interesting in hand. Two months later we both played at the Gardens of Babylon Monastery Festival in Germany, albeit on different stages and to my surprised delight, Omri dropped it, creating one of the most powerful moments at the event. So, it may have been a long time in development, but it’s worth the wait!”

The EP conclude on the emotive ‘Voyage’, which Omer produced alongside childhood friend Gal Kinnel. “‘Voyage’ is slightly ironic because Gal and I used to be in a band together playing guitar and drums!”, continues Omer, “he even introduced me to Nirvana, which does make it surprising we had to come full-circle in a different style and genre to finally get something out there together professionally. We’ve spent a lot of time in the DJ booth and studio lately, and have much more to come together, but ‘Voyage’ is the first thing we produced; it really is the realisation of a lifelong friendship.”
