The Terranova Records team proudly unveils its next chapter, one that has been eagerly anticipated within our creative circle. Hailing from Denmark, Azpecialguest emerges once again with a striking artistic statement — a three-track EP entitled: The Inevitable. More than just a collection of tracks, this release stands as a sonic manifesto, capturing the inexorable pull of fate through the lens of dark melodic techno. The title track, The Inevitable, opens the EP with commanding presence. A hypnotic rhythm forms its backbone, surrounded by immersive pads and intricate textures that grow layer by layer. It is an anthem of inevitability, a meditation on destiny that evolves into a sweeping crescendo. Take Off launches forward with unbridled force. From its first moment, the track seizes attention, driving forward on razor-sharp percussion and haunting synth lines. The tension builds relentlessly, pushing toward a climactic release that feels both cathartic and unstoppable. Closing the EP is Balam, a piece that ventures into the mystic. Its brooding basslines and evolving melodies conjure an atmosphere that is both shadowed and luminous, as if walking the line between light and dark. In 2025, Terranova Records reaffirms its commitment to pushing the boundaries. With The Inevitable, Azpecialguest not only delivers a masterful EP but also etches a new milestone in the labels journey — a release destined to resonate far beyond the dance floor.

Mulya and Sobek author our next Chapter, reprising a creative relationship which has already borne significant fruit. Their work has seen them find a home together with labels including Monaberry and TAU, while they have been picked up individually by imprints including Bedrock and Get Physical.

Here they offer three big hitters. Title track Mirrored Screen opens things in style, its chunky afro techno groove offset by an enigmatic synth line and a choppy single note pattern that is laden with tension. Tribal vocals add to the mix before the main hook opens out and satisfyingly hits home.

Shaking Hands is the follow up, built around a distorted, pitching percussive groove for a determinedly heads down, wild affair that is bound to move the dancefloor.

Rounding things off, Hard Curve is just as heavyweight. Equally moody and foreboding as it is hypnotic and driving, it comes paired with an Edition by breakout artist Rinzen (mau5trap). Rinzen's rework is progressive and euphoric, communicating and deploying a sense of scale that is reminiscent of classic Sasha or Stephan Bodzin.

Rinzen's Edition makes for a fitting closer to a very strongly rounded EP from Mulya & Sobek.

Stripped Down hits double figures in style with a new EP from Berlin based Portuguese talent Jepe which includes a remix from Ede. 

It was in 1997 that Jepe secured his first DJ residency, at Estação da Luz, and he soon progressed to booking for the club. After working with the biggest names in the scene he started making his own music and since has released on high class labels like Moodmusic, Connaisseur and Engrave, as well as doing A&R for Blossom Kollektiv. This elegant artist now comes correct across a trio of fresh originals.

Turkish born Ede has landed on Innervisions, TAU and Correspondant after making his mark on the Berlin club scene and now does so again here. He remixes with a soft acid line spraying about beneath the twirling keys to make for something more dark and driving for late nights in the club.

"The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Victor Ortiz aka The Note V to the label for his debut EP. Since first appearing in 2012, the Mexican artist has found a home on Bar25, Manual Music and Steyoyoke where his unique take on melodic techno has flourished. Now following a remix for Sounds Of Earth, the Mexico City resident lands on Movement with 'Equilibre' alongside remixes from Magitman and Bessiff.

Beginning with the title track, The Note V collaborates with French artist Bessiff who is best known for this releases on Aftertech Records, Traum and Inner Symphony. Bringing their creative talents together the duo craft a slice of cosmic techno to set the mood of the EP. Backed by a warm yet punchy groove, it’s fragmented arps, buzzing synth swells and astral stabs fill in a framework as the first act unfolds. Timely modulation elevates the mood before smooth chord changes shift the narrative into emotive territory across an ethereal break and radiant finale. The companion piece 'Eclipse' finds The Note V collaborating with Sergio Oyarvide whom he worked with once previously on an EP for KDB Records. Following a similar sonic ethos to its predecessor, the duo build a narrative of emotive bass swells, playful arps and cosmic creativities. It’s spongy kick and perfectly sculpted bass flow with a wonderful warmth, as subtle shades and tones trail across the framework. The main break adds just the right amount of emotion to keep it’s exquisite vibe fully intact, before effortlessly shifting energy into a purring finale.

The lone interpretation of 'Equilibre' is provided by Magitman who returns to the label for his fourth appearance. The Israeli artist has been a fixture of the electronic underground for well over a decade and that extensive experience is always evident in his work. Now a regular on Beat Boutique and Proton Music, he returns to Movement with a stunning take on 'Equilibre'. Remarkably fluid and undeniably modern, it’s a mix that stays true to the delicate themes from the original, while adding a progressive essence through charming musicality and redolent rhythms. Timeless and emotive, the main break brings impassioned moments before pulling back for a tasteful drop and groovy final act."

"Unstrung returns with a 4 track EP from label boss Loui Cleghorn. 'Auto-Solve' is a collection of tracks of varying moods and vibes that have been in the works for a while and is a quintessential example of the characteristics of the label as a whole; vibrant, energetic and above all, different. 

This release sees the Glasgow melody-maker incorporate more natural instruments, such as flutes, pan pipes and ambient sound into an already intricate array of synths and beats. It's a break from our usual fare in some respects, with less emphasis on repetitive movement and more on classical melody shifts and structures.

The bookend tracks of the release, Depth Perception and the eponymous Auto-Solve, are the ones that exist in a purely electronic realm. The story of the track, as is customary with Unstrung, is captured in the movement and automation of the synths that drive it. In the middle of the EP, there is a break from this idea with more organic sounds and melodic narrative taking over, giving a natural balance to the release as a whole."
