As if Dave’s ‘Two By Two’ wasn’t already humungous enough, hot on the heels of the barnstorming original comes the equally magnificent Alican remix.
 
We said the vocal hook brought to mind Divine’s seminal proto-houser ‘Native Love’, and we suspect our guest may have felt the same, as there are definitely traces of the trademark early 80s Bobby O production style in this peak time workout.
 
This sizzling slice of 21st century mesmeric electro-disco further showcases our man from Istanbul’s wide-ranging talents, as displayed not only on his Selador outing ‘Montroze’ las year, but also on recent releases for the likes of Innervisions, Kompakt and Get Physical.

Raphael Mader is no stranger to Renaissance having released four times over the last four years, during which time he’s also graced notable imprints such as Atlant, Einmusika, Anjunadeep and Simulate. BIBSN is a brand new collaboration with his brother, Fabian, which adds a familial spark to the music. 

'With Her' is a groove-laden melodic masterclass, with influences of afro, techno and deep house. The '6AM Breaks Mix' injects a touch more energy to see you through until the sunrise. 'Leading' concludes the release with soothing tones; although aimed squarely at the dancefloor, it’s a lovely finish as the strings unwind slightly.

The EP Black Orchid by musician DNL Mike immerses the listener in a rich world of analog sound, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of majestic natural phenomena. The compositions captivate with their power and unpredictability, akin to the oceans surge. The layers of sound evoke strong gusts of wind capable of carrying away the most intimate thoughts, plunging one into a meditative state. The musicians soul is evident in every note and rhythm, much like dawn, when the first rays of the sun gently touch the earth, awakening the world to a new day. This sincerity and depth are similar to the moment when the clouds part, revealing the sky and allowing one to witness the grandeur of nature in all its glory. A special highlight of the EP Black Orchid is the debut track featuring the producers own vocals. His voice sounds as natural and organic as birds singing in spring or the rush of a waterfall, blending with the musical background to create a unique harmony. This piece seems to embody hidden emotions and experiences, shared with us through the prism of sound.

Born in Munich, Germany in the mid 80s. Already as a teenager he started making music in his room, developing skills at producing, sound design and mastering on his own projects.

With his production Raphael wraps our consciousness into a pastel-colored fog that is an intense feeling of longing and fills our hearts with the bittersweet potion of melancholy. The music draws its compelling power from a melodic warmth that has almost the quality of a physical force. He uses the emotional undertow of human voices and takes us on a journey full of synthetic elegance and bass boost. 

He is definitely one of the rising artists in the electronic music scene- great labels such as Oddity, Renaissance, Atlant and Yotto’s Odd One Out signed his latest work recently. He also gained a lot of support by several leading national and international artists playing his tracks in their sets- his ambition and his musically perception of modern Techno will certainly keep him on the right track.
