Art Department - Living The Life (Feat. Seth Troxler)

After striking up a relationship with Behrouz and as fans of his music on labels like Kindisch, Flying Circus, Tribe Called Katori, etc, Nhii has become a great friend to the label and it was only a matter of time before he debuted on Do Not Sit. With Japanese and Polynesian undertones throughout the EP, 'Yofuke no Niwa' features four unique elements of sound rom this diverse artist.

Leading with 'Mrs. Polyevolver', the balance of driving low end and delicate notes is striking and intense. The EP continues with 'Hisoka', which lightly dances across a dramatic and vivid blanket of organic and intriguing elements. 

Rounding out with 'So No Koto', featuring the beautiful strings of Juando, and the title track 'Yofuke no Niwa', which includes a Japanese poem telling a story of 2 girls singing in a garden deep in the night with their soothing ethereal voices.

The original mix is bursting with all the signature Siavash sounds: melodic bells, groovy percussion, + crushing bass riffs. His simple vocal keeps drilling until the point of near obsession. For this wizard’s most cherished work, he entrusted one of his all-time favourite electronic visionaries, Ten Walls, for the remix privileges. The long running and influential Global Underground label is back with more brilliance, this time in the form of a superb Just Her original and a remix from AudioJack.

Just Her runs the Constant Circles label, has released on Suara & Save Us Records, and songwriting and engineering work with Him_Self_Her took her to labels like Toolroom and Crosstown as well as the top of the Beatport charts. Now going solo again, she is in fine form here.
Fall From Grace is a deeply emotional track with spine tingling vocals that really make a mark. The pained synths all around and the bubbling drums and bass all cast a real spell and are sure to mark a standout moment in any set.

Audiojack have long been house mainstays, well travelled DJs and have a fine discography on vital outlets like 2020Vision, Hot Creations and Leftroom. Their version is raw and more physical, with chunky drums but also plenty of the musical and emotional class of the original.
A really fine release from a label that never fails to deliver.
