"One of the first things that made me fall in love with Southern California, my home, is the beautiful landscape you come across when you drive just outside of the city into the Mojave Desert. The skies get clearer with brighter stars, and the vegetation sparser with these beautiful Saguaro cacti. This landscape gives me a real sense of peace and feeling part of a greater whole, kind of mystic. This was my inspiration for the mix, I hope you like it."

With musical influences ranging from Peacefrog and Detroit techno to Cameroonian disco and rare groove, Isabelle’s sets are eclectic and reflective of her diverse background and passion for digging. She has played alongside legends including Derrick May, Moodymann and Omar S, from poolside sets at Ibiza’s legendary Pikes to all-night-long at XOYO, via Paris’ Nuits Blanches and Secretsundaze. Her first love is radio, and she co-hosted for years the Fly By Night show on Balamii Radio, as well as playing Worldwide FM, Rinse France and Bristol’s Noods Radio.

Isabelle | Saguaro Cactus Desert

Hailing from London, Renata is a DJ and selector well-known for her eclectic sets ranging from Balearic, Jazz Funk, Soul, Afro to Electronic. Her musical education started early on with her dad who was a Jazz musician; then throughout the '90s, she indulged in all sorts of genres from indie bands, psych through to House Music which heavily influenced her sound today.
 
When she’s not busy working with plants, you can find her playing records at various London’s finest establishments and festivals like Spiritland, HWK, Houghton & Gottwood. Catch her also on 1BTN 101.4 FM where she showcases her diverse musical tastes on her monthly show there every 2nd Monday of the month 2-4 pm.

Phat Phil Cooper has been on a journey through DJ culture and electronic music since the 1990s. Through his work as a DJ, label manager, curator, record shop owner, event organiser and music consultant, Cooper remains a central figure in the balearic music scene. Residing in Ibiza he also runs the NuNorthern Soul label which he founded in 2012.
