Renato Marcianò was born in Milano in 1969. From his earliest childhood on he was enthusiastic about music. So he started to teach himself in playing guitar in his early school years. He also had private lessons in classic piano for 4 years, achieving a licence of music theory.
After absolvating a course in music harmony with guitar player Adrian Fioramonti, in 1993 he finally decieded to dedicate his musical energy into electric bass studies, especially in the style of african-american music.
He started to work with - in Lucca's area well known - bass player Milko Ambrogini. He also took part in some jazz workshops with Steve Swallow, Pietro Tonolo, Vittorio Alinari and Dimitri Grechi Espinoza und improoved his studies by self teaching and jaming with other musicians. He kept on extending his skills in jazz, blues, funk, ....
From 2006 to 2010 he regularly played at the wednesday's jam sessions at Dt. Jazz club in Pisa as a resident part of the band .
From 2009 to 2011 he worked with the italian singer Karima.
Since october 2010 to october 2015 he played as an integral part in the Blues/BluesRock-band of Rudy Rotta
