We all love Halloween and are all obsessed with classic horror film music from the 60s through 80s, but I would like to introduce you to a new conceptual work which I call 'New Monsters'.

This is the first of a series of mixes and collages which will consist of contemporary music and sounds with a vintage aesthetic. 

The first part of 'New Monsters' is called 'Fear Recording'. The goal of this concept was to use field recordings and sounds in the vein of documentary tapes from yesteryear.

This collage was made with my favorite artists in mind. Included in this mix are previously unreleased tracks by N. Racker, edits and cuts by the Folklore Tape's crew, as well as a few cues from Broadcast's 'Berberian Sound Studio' OST, sprinkled in for good measure. This "Fear" recording consists of music and sounds, and is as beautiful as it is scary. Listening to this one at night...alone. 

I have included a full tracklist, as well as links for more information on the artists included in this project.
