Two summers ago, in 2019, 'Serenity' by Roman Messer and Cari took the trance world by storm. Hammered throughout the rest of the year - and beyond - by just about everyone in the uplifting trance scene and by Armin van Buuren himself at multiple major festivals, the vocal anthem was crowned one of the top 15 tracks of 2019 according to the prestigious A State Of Trance Tune Of The Year fan vote.

Now, in 2021, as Roman Messer gears up for the release of his 4th artist album, it is time for that long-awaited follow up.

Teaming up once again, Roman and Cari deliver yet another powerful uplifting trance record. 'Written In The Stars' has Cari's instantly recognizable ethereal voice float among the synth layers of the expertly fine-tuned instrumental courtesy of Roman, both of them giving winks of acknowledgement to 'Serenity' in finer details of their respective work on 'Written In The Stars' but taking things in new, exciting and bold directions. The unorthodox vocal melody written by Cari and its arrangement by Roman, especially the prominently orchestral breakdown with world music influences, is undoubtedly the record's strongest and most memorable feat.
