Last weekend I was booked at Aalborg Dance Summer. This is the DJ set from the Saturday Party at 04.00-05.00. After me DJ Saï Saï played the last set so I knew I could go smooth & sensual because Saï Saï always goes way deeper at those time slots.

Normally when I have the warm-up set of an evening I start with the old-school songs that have a steady beat. So the less experienced dancers can hear the strong beat very good. But still there are a lot of timeless classics in it!

When you are at a festival you know 9 out of 10 times Sundays are the best. I had to honor to play 3 DJ sets of 1 hour during the complete Sunday at Kizomba Days Cologne. This is the recording of my Sunday Social set. It has a variation of douceur, and sensual tunes. Enjoy!

Kizomba Underground had their last edition at the previous location. They wanted to go out with a bang so they had a line-up with 4 DJ's. On Fire, Ellen, Rene Amplo & Traybeatz. I had the honour to play prime time from 01.00-02.30. So I went from GhettoZouk to UrbanKiz to some sensual. Enjoy

RENE AMPLO - Live at Kizz Underground 🇳🇱 (18-02-2022)

So I was booked for the whole weekend at Kizomba Lounge Festival and I can say the music was A+ from all the DJ's. A lot of heavy hard hitting tunes. So you know how it goes: It's Sunday Social and before me DJ Drico played an amazing UrbanKiz set so I had the feeling, the urge to slow down a bit so that the people could calm down again so that D&L Beats (that came after me) could pump it up again. So that't the reason why I first started with some afrobeat to slow down the tempo, continue with some ghettozouk and sensual tunes and end my set with some smooth UrbanKiz music.

RENE AMPLO - Live at Kizomba Lounge Festival 🇳🇱 Sunday Social (03-07-2022)

My first set of the Festival was the Friday night from 06.00-07.00 in the morning. And guess what I was not even the last DJ. After me there was still 1 DJ who played 1 hour. The festival was outdoor in a tent with the sides open so the sun was coming up in the middle of my set. I started with some Zouk, went to Cabo Love to some Urban Sensual and ended with some Smooth Singer Sensual vibes. The whole set has a cuddling vibe but then with 4 different elements.

People who know my DJ'in and how I blend in on a Festival or Party know that I always try to deliver something different then what has already been played/done the hour or even 2 hours before. Before me DJ Neiken was playing an amazing set and gave me great energy to continue to. So here you can listen to what I created from 03.00-04.00. Some GhettoZouk, Oldschool Tarraxo/Tarraxinha, Afrobeat and UrbanKiz with a lot of live played accapella's.

On the 26th of February @sergio_musiclife his album Modo Do Grind came out. So I bought it on Apple Music and the next day I thought let's mix this album in 1 take, so that is what I did. I want to give a big shout out to Systema Creativity, Stefanio Lima, Sergio, Luciano Romain, Rico Coco, DJ Ciano, DJ Pingusso, DJ Remcy, Makumba BeatZ, Pedro Lacoste, Alexson, Valdez Pires for making this masterpiece and level up the UrbanKiz/Kizomba scene with professional work.

On Sunday I played the last set of the night it should have been only from 22.30 - 00.00. Because the previous DJ was playing energetic for a longer time  I decided to go down in tempo and energy to close the evening with douceur and sensual music. After 30/40 minutes the organization asked me if I could play 1 hour longer because the people did not want the event to end. But playing 2,5 hour douceur and sensual was a bit too much in this setting so at that moment I immediately went up in tempo and energy so I could slow down later and close the event.

RENE AMPLO - Live at Kizz Ryders Weekend 🇧🇾 (19-01-2020)

History before Kizomba:
Born in The Netherlands in ’87 and started DJ’ing House/Techno in 2005 and this did not happen unnoticed. The crowd embraced René for his energetic and well balanced DJ sets. He played at the bigger festivals and clubs in The Netherlands like Extrema Outdoor & Solar Weekend, next to international and national DJ’s. After 10 years playing house & techno René decided to stop DJ’ ing in 2015.

Kizomba:
Not long after that René started taking Kizomba dance classes with his partner. After a few lessons he was sold to the dance and knew this was a new path of life. Since then he decided to start DJ’ing again but then in the Kizomba scene and RENE AMPLO was born. Because of years experience behind the DJ booth René translates his music to the dancefloor. Switching between slow and uptempo songs while keeping the connection between the dance partners.

At the same festival or party, the music is never the same.
