Bytes are super excited to announce the reissue of the killer 1990s electro EPs by SEM (aka Damon Baxter, who would go on to record as Deadly Avenger). The original 12”s have been out of print since they were released on J Saul Kane’s Electron Industries imprint in 1995 (Phox EP) and 1996 (The Demon EP). They have never been available digitally. With the original masters M.I.A., the tracks have been lovingly remastered from vinyl by Keith Tenniswood, who as part of Two Lone Swordsmen (alongside the late Andrew Weatherall), knows a thing or two about producing top-notch electro music. In a fusion of science and sound, Kalocain's debut vinyl release, "Genetic Memory," unfolds an eerie tale. "W.N.G." opens a portal to an ancient world, where forgotten tongues unveil cryptic secrets. "Genetic Memory" weaves ethereal connections between ancestral recollections and the present, warping the fabric of time. "Ivermectin" delves into the surreal realms of molecular melodies, as if sonic DNA deciphers sound's enigmas. Remixes from Normal 4, Patricia Kokett, and Jacques Satre reshape the auditory cosmos with a dash of the bizarre.

To amplify the weirdness, Evaldas Bubinas aka Hermandrowning, concocts mind-bending artwork, beckoning listeners into a realm where sound and art meld in uncanny harmony.

But that's not all! The digital copy unveils an additional original track, "Groove Drift," along with a wild array of remixes by n9oc, Henry Greenleaf, Frankfurt Bass, and Dogpatrol.

"Genetic Memory" isn't just music; it's a transcendent odyssey blending the past, present, and the surreal future, with a digital twist that will leave you questioning the boundaries of sonic exploration.

"Neulust," the latest EP from Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge, introduces listeners to the talents of Joshua Gottmanns and Niklas Wandt. Wandt's captivating voice invokes a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of the era when Thorsten Fenslau was active, infusing tracks with poetic recitations. Wandt's drumming harmonizes perfectly with Gottmanns' warm chords and captivating melodies. Together, they debuted on Zurich's Lustpoderosa label with "Neulust," aiming to redefine their musical connection. Their presence in the central European underground scene has been marked by releases on Themes for Great Cities or Bureau B, accompanied by their vintage German Wave sound and lively performances. Regular touring has been part of their journey. "Neulust," recorded with minimal intervention, delves into themes of love, estrangement, and consumerism, blending haunting electro, deep house, NDW, and Euro Dance Elements. The EP signifies a significant stylistic shift and stands as the band's most compelling offering yet in their ongoing musical evolution.

A year after releasing the “So Sprach Psychedelia” Remixes EP, brilliantly reworked by Rodion, Skelesys and Rambal Cochet, Thisbe Recordings´ Pyrame releases a second sequel of remixes from his EP “Electronica Melancholia”.

On board - and on target - to remix the title track “Electronica Melancholia”, two usual suspects of Thisbe: Volta Cab (“Alphabet of Humanity” (THISBE009), “Oseary Drakoulias” (THISBELTDX001)) and Philip Lawns (“Ten Years of Travel” (THISBE004)). Joining them for the occasion, a recent artist on the label, A-Tweed, who is half of Oblako Maranta, his collab with Radial Gaze and who recently released “Trance Beckenbauer” (THISBE015).

The Electronica Melancholia Remixes EP starts off straight into A-Tweed´s magic of producing that trademark acid weird disco sound that conveys such a special groove on the dancefloor - and beyond. Remixing the original track into something somehow progressive as well, the Rome-based artist nails another classic of the label´s catalogue. His kick is firm, his percussions even firmer. Yet, A-Tweed manages to keep some of the softness from the original melodies layered over a captivating bassline. A fine work all around.

Next on the Tracklisting is Philip Lawns, who revisited “Electronica Melancholia” from his very intimate lens, taking the listener on a journey into his own mind. Those ambient sounds from within that the Italian artist manages to subtly reproduce in his music, in perfect symbiose with Pyrame´s original arpeggios. The flow is deep and at the same time, dirty like a dusty turntable jumping at every turn. His remix is a portray, where distant voices echo over a phone ringing, hoping from someone to pick up. The music can´t stop, the call remains unanswered.

Third - but not least - the Krasnodar-based über-productive Volta Cab sets once again some serious standards in the post-punk genre, crafting from the very first kick on a mesmerizing mix of EBM and dark electro overlaid by an intense and irresistible infusion of synths on acid. All that in a less-than-4 minutes remix. Powerful.

Cherry on the cake: A-Tweed treats us with an Acid Dub version of his remix. An almost 12 minutes long mix, cruising a 79bpm, to ensure an immersive experience into “la mélancholie électronique” up to the very end of the Remixes EP. Gold.

Algebra Suicide - An Explanation For That Flock Of Crows  (Mmyylo Edit)

We present you the EP from Anton Levdikov “The Umbra is going wild”.  Umbras are the author’s mythical characters, about whom he tells legends about and depicts in his paintings and installations.  The EP chronicles their journeys, which become wilder from track to track: through darkness to light, through light to darkness.  A long but fascinating journey.

Musically, Anton notes his love for industrial music, acid house and electronic body music.  The remixes involve producers from different genres: their diversity continues the path of Umbra.  Among them: Mexican producer TKUZ, Spaniard and owner of the Logical Records label - Ivan De La Rouche, resident of Arma 17 and Pinkman - LVRIN, one of the founders of the Bravers - ORYOL and resident of Temple de Plastique - JULIA KONOR.
