PREMIERE: Confusion - Flat FM [SPTK-VA013]

Holden’s third release on SK_Eleven, Dust,  showcases a striking evolution of his signature dark, driving sound. Rhythms are as urgent and rooted in the dancefloor as ever, but melodies have grown more haunting and emotive. This release sees Holden charting new sonic territory with two ambient tracks to open and close the record. Opener “Dust” brings melody and harmony to the foreground to set the emotional tone for the peak-time techno tracks that follow, while the closing track, “Frost,” ends the EP on a more hopeful note, its yearning melody disappearing into the mist beyond the sunlight.

Molecular Recordings was founded in the idyllic years of 1994 and has had a renaissance in recent years with a fresh wave of excellent releases, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their history that has featured artists like DJ Bone and Chris Liebing.

Spain's Drucal returns for his third EP appearance on Molecular as well as having his tracks previously featured on the likes of Fernanda Martins' Devotion, Eduardo De La Calle's Analog Solutions, Dykkonn's DkN Selections, and Jewel Kid's Alleanza, amongst many others.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Mero Viaje” with an interstellar atmosphere. The trippy, modular hook captivates the airwaves with a hypnotic, swirling sensitivity that calms for a suspenseful break, before relaunching again into a stylish sci-fi expedition.

After an exceptional and well-received collaborative EP with Tina Ramamurthy on Amotik 014 earlier in 2024, Amotik picks up where he left off and delivers four sublime solo works for Amotik 015. His self-titled imprint, running since 2015, has been a steady home base for his own productions, quickly becoming an essential catalogue in modern techno. Here, once again, he delivers a full pack of pure techno jams. Rene Wise returns to Dustin Zahn’s Enemy

Records with a massive follow up to 2022’s label debut, Jungle House. On “Deprivation,” the Moving Pressure artist delivers 4 undeniable, heads-down Techno grooves in his signature style.

Minimalism is the theme on the A-side. Anxiety and Insomnia are both stripped down and tripped out. Both hold steady in arrangement, allowing for the smallest details to shine through. Each track is topped off with Rene’s otherworldly synth washes and FX splashes atop of steady unwavering grooves.

A slight departure from his usual grooves, the B-side drifts off into uncharted territory while keeping in line with the moodiness of the A side. Sakar focuses on a pulsating tension-building synth line in constant flux. Meanwhile, staccato basslines and percussive splashes merge to form the record’s funkiest moment on Cutting Thick.
