ilan Bluestone is back with ‘Paid For Love’ featuring Gid Sedgwick.

Our story begins in 2012 when Ilan was introduced to Anjunabeats by Maor Levi. We haven’t looked back since. From his early works like ‘Cape Town’ and ‘Big Ben’, to his 2018 album ‘Scars’, to his recent EP release under new alias Elysian, Ilan always keeps one foot firmly ahead of the pack. 

From Dreamstate to Tomorrowland, A State Of Trance to Group Therapy at Madison Square Garden and beyond, Ilan is a mainstage star who is committed to the craft of songwriting. Above & Beyond rarely play a show that doesn’t feature one (or more) of Ilan’s songs. 

2020 has been a difficult, yet productive year for Ilan. He released 'Black & Blue' with Andrew Bayer, curated a 20 Years Of Anjunabeats mix, launched new project, Elysian, with fellow globetrotters Maor Levi and Emma Hewitt and his 138 Stoneblue alias with debut release ‘Hypnotized’ on Monstercat. 

‘Paid For Love’ is classic Bluestone. Vibrant and anthemic, Ilan is joined once again by singer and songwriter Gid Sedgwick, who worked with Ilan and Maor Levi on 2019’s ‘Can You’. ‘Paid For Love’ was handpicked by Above & Beyond for their Group Therapy 400 livestream in September.

Says Ilan, “ ‘Paid For Love' is the first track I’ve written where I’ve had a hand in writing the lyrics. The song is about a personal experience I had in a relationship, and I feel like these lyrics speak to people who may have gone through similar experiences. I’ve felt such a strong connection with fans at my shows when they’ve been singing the words back to me. I wanted a vocal in the style of Depeche Mode, and Gid delivered!"

‘Paid For Love’ is available to buy and stream now, with much more music from ilan arriving on Anjunabeats early in 2021.

Parallels, Nourey & ZOYA, and GVN feature on the first edition of this exciting new series, Anjunabeats Rising Volume 1.

Parallels ‘Home’ sees Above & Beyond Group Therapy Radio frequent flyers Declan James and Lycii follow up their ‘All In’ remix from 2019. Bassline-heavy and reminiscent of recent work from Fatum and Genix, ‘Home’ is a quintessential Anjuna anthem. 

‘All Night’ pairs Egyptian-born, Boston-based producer Nourey with Bulgarian singer/songwriter and producer ZOYA. An experimental blend of that combines elements of trance, house and jazz, ‘All Night’ turned the heads of label bosses Above & Beyond, earning Nourey and Zoya the title of ‘Record Of The Week’ in A&B’s first radio show of 2021. 

Completing the package, the UK’s GVN makes his first appearance on Anjunabeats. With recent support from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, a collaboration with Third Party and a release on Martin Garrix STMPD label under his belt, ‘I Don’t’ marries trance with breakbeat. Expect much more from GVN on Anjunabeats in 2021.

Anjunabeats presents a new remix of gardenstate’s ’Surreal’ from Amsterdam native Bart Skils. 

Bart is a mainstay of Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label where, for over a decade, Bart has exclusively released his original music. A highlight: ‘Your Mind’, his 2018 collaboration with label boss Beyer.

Beyond his extensive Drumcode discography, Bart has remixed Underworld, Moby, Push and Joris Voorn. His long-running ‘Voltt’ residency is a fixture of Amsterdam’s vibrant club scene.

gardenstate was formed after a chance meeting between Marcus Schössow and American producer Matthew Felner in 2008. The pair started creating music together in 2019 and have already supported the likes of Eric Prydz, Sander Van Doorn, Ferry Corsten, Gabriel & Dresden and Mat Zo. They’ve released on imprints like Yotto’s Odd One Out, Joris Voorn’s Spectrum and Cosmic Gate’s Wake Your Mind. 

Two gardenstate compositions were featured on Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats Volume 15 compilation, including ’Surreal’, which was released in full last autumn.

The Bart Skils remix of gardenstate’s ’Surreal’ is out now on Anjunabeats.
