Serlöf’s “sound” is that he has no specific style; the only thing consistent is quality. Reinventing himself again, the “Imaginary Victories” EP is charged with tense and explosive moments that elevate his introspective lyrics. The lead single “They Told Me” brings us into a cold world, which is expanded upon in the Unity-built music video by the game developer Aaron Taecker-Wyss. Exciting, challenging, and innovative, Serlöf enters the hyperpop venn-diagram in the overlap with experimental jazz to give us another brilliant body of work.
