"Home" is where the art is. 

"The initial idea was to create an EP designated to my journey since I left my childhood home. I
arrived in London in 2019, chasing a music career after struggling to fit in where I grew up. In
no time, I felt at ease, free to be myself, and to chase my goals. I started experiencing raves in
the heart of the UK and absorbing the rich underground culture that the city had to offer. It
became clear – London was where I belonged, a place I’d call home.

In my music-making journey, I explored a large variety of genres, sounds, and artists. It was cool
for a while, but eventually, I got tired. I craved something else, a sound that really moved me.
Despite enjoying the process, none of it felt like 'home.' Then came my Heartless EP, a dive into
non-traditional 'bass music', and suddenly, I felt like I found something. SATURATE noticed my
EP quickly and helped me on a journey of self-discovery and pride. After dropping Heartless, I
knew I had found my sound. It felt so right. It felt like home.

This was when I started the Home EP project. I wanted to fully explore my artistic identity. It
was my way of creating music on my terms. I never felt as much pride and joy in creating music
as I did while I wrote this EP.

Releasing Home on SATURATE was a no-brainer. They welcomed me from the start, giving me
a spot in the bass music scene where I felt at home. It's a supportive community where artists get
praised for pushing against the norms. This was where Home found a home." - Kunas

G Jones’ album Paths was my favorite album last year, and Dancing on the Edge was my favorite song on that album. I was lucky enough to go through a pretty creative period in January where I started making edits and bootlegs of some of my favorite songs from over the years, one of which was Dancing on the Edge.

Upon finishing it, it became my favorite of the aforementioned remixes that I started, and so I'm glad to be able to release it to the world to see if there are others who like it as well :)

Permeated with found sounds and manipulated vocals, the “Treasures EP” on Renraku introduces the grainy, atmospheric maximalism of Renraku’s newest beatmaker Think Twice.  
 
“The EP narrates the exploration of the malleability of the self, and the discourses which arise and dictate between the states of origin and result,” explains the artist, UK-based Ellis Warren.

Comprised of hauntingly lo-fi yet emotive pieces, this intimate release feels as if it's written for your ears only. Employing the signature 'mud splattered emotions' of Think Twice's cult sound, each track brings a unique landscape of reality-based fiction to the horizon.
 
Title track “Treasures (feat. EMP)” ushers in the EP’s substantial aesthetic with clamoring percussion and a cavernous vibe. Introspective “Exhibit” wanders the darkness, dragging beats through an artistic mesh. “B/1” drifts slowly through echoes before giving way to the fuzzy “Comedown.” “J-Riddim” is dosed with the flecks of dreams.
 
Dense and experimental, “Treasures EP” fuses interrupted rhythms and a lo-fi buzz with a profound undercurrent of inner exploration.
 
“Treasures EP” by Think Twice will be released via Renraku on digital formats worldwide on May 18, 2018.
