Actualized

It seems as if in your early twenties, you go through various phases of comparing your life and goals to those of your peers, trying to find some kind of balance between what you're supposed to be doing while figuring out what you actually want to do. Overridden by this very-human and age appropriate anxiety in the constantly chaotic atmosphere which New York seems to provide, RÉN escaped to Santa Cruz, CA for a little R&R. While there, she drove past a sign at a bakery that said "Relax, you've got plenty of time". In that moment, a weight was lifted (and a cupcake was eaten) and instead of dwelling on all of the day's worries and jealousies, RÉN channeled that energy and the wise baker's advice into the foundation of her next pop feel-good, yet always introspective jam "Into the Unknown". Complementary in wisdom to her debut single "Time", the song is an escape and much-needed reminder to let go of those aspects of life you will never have control over. In a way it embodies the core concept of RÉN - to be true to yourself, stop comparing yourself to others, channel your stress into positive energy, and create changes you long for so that you can live fully, 'let go' of everything holding you back and go 'Into the Unknown'.
