Jickow kicks off brand new label Olympe Music with a first single that gets big remixes from melodic heavy-weight producers Ten Walls and Robert Babicz.

Burakumin is a former untouchable group in Japan at the bottom of the traditional social hierarchy. Even abolished, their descendants continued to face stigmatization and discrimination in Japan.

Throughout that track, Jickow wanted to pay them a tribute.

Burakumin is a deep and slow bring prog house tune. The melodies are poised and build carefully, lifting your spirits and taking you to the stars. It is a genuinely hypnotic roller. Ten Walls Remix gets edgier, with sharper chords and dancing drums making for a melodic tech vibe to get you in a trance. Last but not least, Robert Babicz then rounds out with a more supple and minimal vibe that rolls late into the night.

Alexandros was born in Sweden but he is a veteran of the Greek underground scene.  He started mixing in 2001 and has produced releases on some of the titan labels of the industry including Diynamic, Ellum, Suara, Renaissance, and Katermukke, amongst many others.

His releases have garnered massive support from A-list DJ's.  Names like Solomun, Maceo Plex and Sasha have all given their seal of approval.

He is a colossal believer of the quote "a day without music is a day wasted".

Musique de Lune closes out a successful second year by welcoming Rod Notario to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Argentina, Rod Notario first emerged in 2020 with a contribution to 3rd Avenue's 'We Are The Future' series. Immediately noted for his nostalgic progressive sound, the Buenos Aires resident would go on to record an EP for Antrim's Strangers Beats, a release which would firmly establish Rod as a new artist to watch as 2021 began. Further success came across the next two calendar years, with an EP for long-standing Serbian imprint Balkan Connection being the highlight. Now, embarking on the most anticipated release of his young career, Rod adds Musique de Lune to his resume with a two-track showcase entitled 'Unknown'.

Continuing to focus on a nostalgic sound it's 'Unknown' which sets the tone for the release. Wrapped within a DJ friendly intro are punchy beats, chunky basslines and a retro-styled rhythmic section. The Argentine's storyboarding eventually takes hold with an uplifting vocal providing a lead element, while clattering percussion and gentle melodic accents keep the focus firmly on the dancefloor. The main break furthers the journey nicely, focusing on wispy vocal wails and a spoken word narrative to perfectly set up a groovy finale with a darker monochrome.

The companion piece 'All About' continues the groovy vibe set by its predecessor and lands with a similar dancefloor presence. Once again it's a vocal which takes centrestage, flowing through impactful stand alone words like 'Life' and 'Love', before transitioning into a panoramic melody which highlights an expansive break. The finale brings all the elements together briefly, before wisely pulled the vocal back out of the mix and letting the melody provide a kaleidoscopic sounding finale. It rounds out two interesting tracks from Rod, who although being a relatively new artist has more than put his name on the map as one to watch across 2024. Highly recommended.

In early 2017, Michael A debuted on Proton Music with the outstanding "Bright Hope". Full of his trademark craft and vision, Particles now revisits the EP with remixes from two North American artists.

Adopting the contracted, Dezza, for his scintillating work, Canadian born, Derek Silvester, is an artist with an exceptional production pedigree. Able to call upon Above and Beyond, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk as fans of his music, Dezza has found his tracks allied to a host of blue-chip imprints that include Colorize, Black Hole and Silk Music. Over four-hundred production credits to his name with a plethora along the Silk road, original EPs that include 2014's "Meekix/Derry" and 2016's "Brit", continue to place Dezza firmly on the industry map and the heads-up-display on the globe's top DJs. 

A debut remix for Proton Music in November 2010, reworking Mango and Kasuza's iconic "Asphalt Lines", is now complemented with a standout remix of "Seven". Intelligently taking the groove foundations central to Michael A's original, Dezza's skill is to rework them into a sonically charged offering that builds with spine-tingling momentum and trademark melodic skill. As elegant as it is effortless in execution, the resultant work is a track that generates a new direction based on the themes resonant in the original with a cornucopia of additional production material, rich harmonies and rhythmic flair.

Chicago born but now firmly ensconced in his adopted Greek homeland, Savvas Karabinos, has been involved in the dance music industry since the early 1990s. A renowned DJ and the host of numerous open-air parties, Savvas' work with Yosebu in 2000, under the name Acropod, witnessed a full-length album for Klik Records. With over a double century of production credits to his name since 2010, Savvas has continued to find his work valued by the finest modern underground imprints. Thus, Ready Mix Records, Motek Music and Submarine Vibes continue to extol the virtues of the prolific producer. Indeed, it is for the latter that the deep vibes of "Monsoon" can be heard alongside a remix from Jelly For The Babies for "Haunting Melodies".

Reworking the title track from Michael A's EP in a debut for Particles, the Savvas remix of "Bright Hope" is a deliciously deep offering that revels in rich percussive flow as shakers and wood blocks provide a rhythmic backdrop for evolving melodies to develop unencumbered by weight of expectation. Reminiscent of Jean-Michel Jarre with its cascading delayed motifs and soaring chord progressions, Savvas turns in an innovative new remix that intelligently reworks Michael A's components into a new and dynamic piece.
